I want to give all 5 BUT...Sobeys is the the closest high quality grocery store in my area. I have read the majority of the reviews about how expensive the store is. I start at the back of the flyer because the prices are mostly comparable to No Frills. With that said I don't understand how the female staff are allowed to play on a personal device when they are being paid to serve customers. I asked for help at the self serve and waited until she was finished texting. Then to my surprise she tells me don't be using the self serve, go to a cash! WOW. She refused to enter the code for 4 bananas. I love Sobeys but I am not going to be lectured by a snotty 18 year old kid.
Great store. Especially their meat pretty good! Highly recommended. I'd say price is bit more than nofrills or foodbasics etc, but worth it. Because the produce, store, staff just everything is good.
I can always find what I need at Sobey's. I might pay a little bit more but they always have what you need and the service is great. They're produce is delicious and well stocked, the store is clean and it's a fantastic shopping there.
Produce, that is vegetables and fruits, is the most important food item for our vegetarian family. During the last two days, I purchased argula and basil so I would have enough to entertain for a group of us that are vegetarian. It is not even the second day and the basil is black and the argula smells. I don't usually post but this is not the first time, this has happened. I'm left with changing the meal at the last minute. I'm sorry, my rating is low. While I understand that times are difficult, I am getting tired of buying unhealthy soggy vegetables. The store does a great job at supplying varied processed foods, but I really miss healthy produce.

The grocery store itself is fine, but twice now I've needed their bathroom and the first time it was filthy, so I left and the second time, there was no toilet paper. I feel the bathroom needs to be looked after more, but other than that, it's a nice store.
My mom ordered a birthday cake for my daughter so I had no idea what to expect...oh my was I ever surprised! Probably one of the best birthday cakes I have seen come out of a grocery store bakery! I made sure to let the girl at the counter know to thank whoever made the cake because it was fantastic!!! I will order from them all of the time now, even told my mom, who is in Sudbury, to be ordering cakes from them and I will bring them! Oh and to top it off it didn't cost $80! GREAT JOB SOBEYS BAKERY STAFF!!!
I went to the store about a month ago and the cashier serving me took a phone call on her cell phone. Making me wait until her call Was complete to take my own receipt. I returned to the store With my husband three days ago to purchase butter from the sale. We did not see a sign stating a limit of six so purchase 24 that we needed. This cashier was rude and arrogant in explaining to us that it was a limit of six even though there was no sign indicating this. When I paid for my order after my husband personal purchase I reached out for my receipt cashier named Sherri Rudely handed the receipt to my husband who did not pay for that order. I understand there are rules to be followed but treating customers poorly is a good way to ruin a businesses reputation and I myself will no longer shop at Sobey’s in North Bay!
Worst experience I’ve ever had there. I went in after work at 5pm to grab some warm mashed potatoes and wings and they were out. When I asked if they had more coming out I was told no that they stop cooking at this time cause it take them 1.5 hours to clean the ovens. It should not matter how long it takes to clean an oven. When it’s diner time and you provide warm dinners you should not stop cooking at dinner time. So I had to leave there empty handed, hungry and disappointed that I drove all the way there for that kind of service!
Very nice quality food .meat Fish seafood etc. They have a bakery in there too where I order my children birthday designer themed cakes wonderful service Thank u very much
