When I was at independent this morning, I was never so embarrassed in my life, the lady at the deli and the manager of the store were so insulting. I was called a liar by the woman in the deli, and the manager told me that he was not dealing with me in this matter so as I stood there being called a liar by management and employees, people that were shopping were appalled by this and came up to me and apologized for the rude manner in which I was treated I have been a very loyal customer to this store. I come in every day and due to this incident. step foot in the store again the workers at independent should be ashamed of themselves for treating a senior citizen this way, regardless of the situation nobody should have to put up with this kind of abuse from a store manager or an employee of the business of this size, I have been so upset by this that I left the store in tears.
We don't go to independent because we are wealthy i just have a hard time in crammed stores with lots of people so I go to the wide isles of Independent grocer.nThey got what I need and then some. Maybe it's a little more money here or there but staff and customers are a bit more respectful and patient.
