Nice views and service. Poke bowl was good but skip ordering the fish and chips. Fish was thin and dry probably over cooked. Surprisingly so with the abundance of fresh local fish. Margaritas were good... not available "frozen". Indoor and outdoor seating available. Outdoor is the most popular. 30 to 45 minute wait at 7pm
What a pleasant surprise! Was planning on another restaurant in Grand Haven, but it was full. We found this on Google. Had a great time for our dinner. The raised channel view was nice. The atmosphere was a bright trendy look. The menu selection was excellent. I can't wait to return. The staff were very accommodating.Dine in: Yes
The water view was really nice! We had dinner on the outside deck which we recommend. My husband had the jerk chicken burrito which was really good. I had beef tacos which had a nice sauce The white chicken chili was the best! They have a lot of sushi items, but we are not sushi fans so can't comment on how good they were. Recommend eating here. Parking: They is no parking at the restaurant. You need to use the city parking which is a short walk down the street. The boardwalk was really nice to walk down after dinner.
I’m not one to complain, but we were So disappointed.. ordered 2 Caesar salads with chicken. Most of the lettuce was brown, with a tiny chicken breast.. Said something to our waitress, she comes back and said the kitchen says we just got this fresh lettuce in today. Really? Does this look fresh to you? She proceeds to ask if we Would like a complimentary dessert? After we just ordered a salad? No thank you. Some green lettuce would have been nice in our $40 salads.
The salmon was the BEST!!! Absolutely phenomenal food, atmosphere & very sweet staff. My daughters kept complimenting how nice the waitresses were. It was the perfect dinner spot for our vacation.
Food was great, view is beautiful. Our wait staff was super friendly. Best of luck to him as he heads back to college in a few weeks! We had a lot of little ones and a large party and everyone was kind and polite. Very much appreciated!
Food was fantastic! Cocktails were refreshing! The only reason I dropped a star was for our initial service experience. We walked in to no one at the host stand, which is totally fine as I figured they were busy. After 5 minutes of not seeing a soul, I walked around the corner to look in the kitchen window to see if anyone was even in the back. Much to my surprise, there was a bunch of staff just standing looking at some snapchats on their phones. It took another 2 minutes before someone looked up to see we were standing next to the door waiting. The host then came out, didn’t say a word to us, grabbed the menus and threw them on a table. BUT, I want to give SUPER HIGH PRAISE to Katie, our server. She went ABOVE & BEYOND after the initial reaction and changed our whole experience for us. We are already talking about going back simply because of how great she was.
I ordered the caprese salad. This was not what I had in mind, but sometimes a new twist can be interesting. The problem was, while it looked good the tomatoes had no flavor and instead of basil there were sprouts on top. I asked our server, who was very good, if that was correct and she said they do put sprouts on this. That's not what the menu said. To many small tomatoes that have to be cut in half and not enough mozzarella to go around.
This was a pretty "good" experience for a Bro n Mexico. Arrived about 7:30 and made reservations on site. 45 minutes. No problem. The gentleman at the bar had no problem filling my coffee requests "2 cups" while I waited. The restaurant was packed 'top & bottom.' Ambiance was festive. They also had the U of M game on. I requested a specific seating assignment and Jordan did well filling my request. Once seated "Beth" was my waitress. I asked her if she could provide a 'fine dining experience' I believe she made her best efforts. Next another waitress brought by a candle for our table. Due to it being so 'dim' as the sun had set. I ordered the Perch dinner and my Wife had Sushi & Hummus. The perch was filling and my Wife enjoyed the Hummus. But "Beth" had forgot the Sushi. She remembered before I had to remind her, so that was not an issue. This was like I said a "pretty good" dining experience. The location was and is always the highlight at this restaurant. The only teaching point here is that the "lighting" 'there seemed to be some hanging" but was not in use. Needs to be better or more utilized. Nice $100 spent 'including' 18% tip outing. Returning this weekend to try the 'seafood' pasta.
The food was excellent. Chicken White Chili was smooth and creamy. It definitely has some spicy heat medium heat level. My Granddaughter and I both had the Ribeye on parsnip puree with broccolini and garlic butter. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to medium rare. The parsnip puree was perfect to drag your steak through with each bite. My husband had the Seafood Pasta. Pasta sauce was creamy with a mild parmesan cheese flavor, large pieces of shrimp, lobster, scallops and baked with crumbled cheese on top for a nice crust texture. We had a Lemon Martini, a Harvest Autumn mocktail and a Strawberry Blonde Ale. Granddaughter loved her mocktail. My Lemon Martini wasn't cool enough and could have benefited by a sugar rim instead of lemon rim. The Ale was smooth and mild flavor with no bitterness. Our server was friendly and attentive. Checked on us several times. Kept our water glasses filled and was informative when ordering. Environment was relaxing with candles at the table and fireplace lit Menu is very limited right now. No options when ordering steak such as potato. No salad or soup served with Main Entree's. Dinner and drinks we each had one came to 167.48 without tip. A great meal on a cold winter night.
