We are very thankful for the team at Russ' Restaurant in Grand Haven for accommodating the Coast Guard Festival Grand Parade volunteer breakfast every year. Thanks for making the space for the parade marshals, medic teams, radio operators and the admin staff to eat together before the biggest day of the year. The hot breakfast buffet is a huge blessing before heading to a long day at the various assignments. God bless and thanks again. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment for a hot breakfast buffet, booster seats available. Parking: Lots of parking close to the restaurant, just for patrons only.
Everything was amazing. Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate valentines day early because our very first date was at a Russ'. We got the chicken tenders, loaded potato wedges and deep fried Mushrooms with ranch for appetizers. They were all really good. Then for our meals, I got the Dutchmans Mushroom Swiss burger which was pretty good. My boyfriend got the meatloaf stack we both had some and it was AMAZING. Our waitress, Janis was so nice. She was so on top of everything. Amazing service. Delicious food. Our food was out in 10-15 minutes after ordering which is awesome. All in all, our experience was awesome. I also want to add they do all you can eat fish and chips for $13 on Wednesdays never had it personally and they also have a soup and Salad bar although we didn't use it. Parking: Good amount of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible Dietary restrictions: I noticed on the menu that they have a new gluten free burger
Driving through town, we stopped in at this Russ location as we were headed towards Muskegon. We were looking forward to having a nice meal and were pretty tired from driving all day. As soon as you step inside, there's a blast of nostalgia that hits you as you walk through the door. You can feel the cross between vintage and modern. The carpeting throughout the layout is in dire need of replacement, you can smell a bit of funk coming from it and see noticeable stains and water damage that's probably been there from the '70s. Our waitress was sweet as pie but the food was below mediocre. My burger bun was soggy, the Mac and cheese was microwaved the waitress told me that after I had complained how gross it was, our salad wilted just like our hope was for having an enjoyable meal. Only thing I loved was seeing other families that surrounded us having a good time. I can tell this is a hot spot for the locals. Definitely not for us. Poor quality, high prices for basic meals.
I love Russ' when I just want to eat and relax at lunch. The waitresses are the best. One waitress, Ruth, has my heart. No matter when I go in there she makes me feel so spoiled. I use businesses because of the people that work there. If you get excellent service it's because they love their jobs. If they love their jobs it makes me want to go back and visit then again. Ruth is the reason I go back. Wheelchair accessibility: My mother uses a walker and they make sure she is comfortable everytime. My Aunt Delores was in a wheelchair and it was her favorite place to go. She never felt she was in the way or a burden. Russ' staff has a way of making everyone feel welcome. Dietary restrictions: I have to be very careful about how I eat due to health issues. They are quick to accommodate me with healthy choices.
My family and i stayed at the best western hotel and went to Russ' Restaurant for almost every meal and the wait staff was polite and friendly would highly recommend this Restaurant to all my family and friends
I love eating breakfast out and a coworker suggested this place. I don't like my eggs wet and they came just like I like them. Loved the potatoes with added onions and bacon was great love, love love bacon. Would highly recommend the Grand Haven location.Food: 5/5
Food was greasy n not hot. The Rouben soup was good the meat chucks could be bigger,no famous Rouben flavor either. The server was nice polite and kept up on refills. Overall all nice atmosphere to eat n actually relax restaurant.Food: 2/5

As in most places, they are a bit under staffed. The food was very good. Mostly home style food. Slim Jim sandwich is always my favorite.Food: 4/5
