Smoke Meat Pete

Authentic restaurant with friendly service, interesting rustic decor, great live blues music, and amazing food. I tried the ribs plate, which was excellent and came with delicious appetizers like liver and sausages. I also had the smoked meat platter, and it was the best smoked meat I’ve ever tried. A great discovery! Portions are huge too. I always end up taking leftovers home and getting another meal out of it the next day.

We got a sandwich to go from here because it was a recommendation from a stranger we met earlier on our trip.nnWe just ordered a smoked meat sandwich without fries. It was overall pretty good. The meat was pretty tender and the sandwich itself was good. The bread was tasty and it had the right amount of mustard on it.nnDefinitely go inside and sit down if you can though because inside is super cool and they have live music too.

What a place!! 100% worth it! Probably the best smoked meat I’ve had around Montreal. The service is great and incredibly fast, even when the restaurant is full. The ambiance and the look of the place are just perfect! I’d go there every week if it were closer to my place. They even have a big stage for shows. Loved it! Enjoy

Smoked Meat Pete is one of those places that feels timeless. We tried the classic smoked meat sandwich, the full rack of ribs, and the smoked meat poutine, and everything was excellent. The smoked meat is rich, tender, and full of flavour, easily among the best you can find in Montreal and the surrounding area. Honestly, if this place were located downtown, it would probably be considered the best smoked meat in Montreal.nnThe ribs were generous and well done, and the poutine with smoked meat was comforting and satisfying. Their coleslaw is also very good and pairs perfectly with the main dishes.nnThe atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel that this is a place people have been coming to for years. It’s always busy, especially in the summer when lineups are common, which says a lot. They also have a varied menu with things like pasta and ice cream, making it great for families and groups.nnIf you want to experience truly great smoked meat at a place that’s stood the test of time, Smoked Meat Pete is absolutely worth the trip.

Stopped by this restaurant from a friend's recommendation and this place did not disappoint. I thought the restaurant ambiance looked spot on and had a smokey bbq theme. Ordered a pound of sliced smoked meat and made some sandwiches. The amount given was generous and exceeded the pound. Needless to say the meat tasted very very good. A must visit.
