Smitty's Restaurant

They don't activate gift cards you buy from them so don't ever buy a gift card here My aunt bought 2 gift cards for me and when I went to pay at my local Smittys in Winnipeg, the card was refused and showed inactive. This is technically theft - they took money and falsely offered a service gift card they did not provide gift card not activated.

The waiter/hostess was amazing!! He was so friendly and attentive! The breakfast special was very good. It consisted of bacon/ sausages, eggs, pancakes/toast for $9.99 which we used our Mother's day coupon we received on Mother's day entitling us to $10/EA off our meal. We only had to pay for our 2 coffee's, what a DEAL!! I will definitely go back there again and would recommend it to my friends!!!

Update: second time and was not impressed​... No longer a team effort and the service was slow; waited over 30 minutes to see scrambled eggs! That's fried, broken eggs people!!! Back off the make the effort to stop list. We had the breakfast buffet; it's a small buffet but selection met every want and the food was really well prepared! I was pleasantly surprised because as a chain restaurant I was not expecting this at all. I'd give the buffet four stars and our wait "team" five stars - it was an effortless group dynamic from seating through service... Very, VERY impressed, Smitty's Duncan - thank you for breakfast!!!

We waited just over an hour for our food. It was ok at best; our local Smitties is better. What my wife got was not what she ordered but she ate it anyway as we just wanted to leave by then. It needs an update if that sort of thing is important to you. The staff were nice enough although there was a misunderstanding about the Interac being down. We had to go next door to get cash and it cost us $6 in fees.

The food was okay, the service was great, but.... We ordered the breakfast special. We were totally annoyed with the bill - we didn't realize coffee was not included and we were charged $2.90 - each - for our coffee. We did enjoy the fish aquariums...

Great, friendly staff. They always make sure your meal is to your liking. Love the raised booth tables, the fish, two tvs on mute, nice music that never gets too loud and best of all, the food is delicious!

No one gave us menus, took 45 minutes to get food that was still wrong when it came out, just a terrible experience that really dampened our Fathers Day celebration. We ended up leaving before our son even got his food. Too bad, they used to be decent.

terrible service. 45 minutes to get my son's breakfast. they were taking food from the buffet to make plates. had to start ourselves and then 10 min Jess later get out own menus. multiple tables walked out and it was not busy. don't get the breakfast buffet

Horrible. Not even worth one star. We ordered the eggs benedict, which was alright however the hash browns it came with were barely cooked and they charged us $15 for a meal we couldn't eat after and after we requested a refund, the EXTREMELY rude waitress went back to the kitchen and loudly and snottily announced what we wanted. we were given a $2.10 seniors discount when the price of the hash browns alone, that were inedible, were $4.99. Horrible service, Horrible chefs, horrible establishment. Don't ever waste your time or money here.

Manager/owner was rude, arrived there starving and was kicked out because they were "closing" at 11:42 on a Tuesday morning. He said it was because his cook was not there today. Pretty sure you're supposed to have more than one cook loser. Poor customer service and would give 0 stars if I could. I've been to so many other smittys and this is the worst one in existence. DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY
