Only nine miles north of Watkins Glen, Smith Park has been developed in a pleasant and natural setting along the eastern shoreline of Seneca Lake. This is a community waterfront park with camping and picnicking facilities, a boat launch, swimming beach, and showers. Over 2300 feet of lake frontage provides swimmers with an expansive lakeside beach!
This year the park will open for camping from May 13 thru October 11.
Located on Bond-Smith Park Road and Park Avenue roads on Route 414 in West Hector, the GPS address is 5303 Park Avenue Hector, NY 14841-0073. Camping is on a daily/weekly basis with a maximum of two weeks on any site. Available with water and with or w/o electric. We have two shower and toilet facilities in the park, and a dump station on premises for the use of our campers. There is a $10.00 fee for dump station for non-campers.

Picnic on the beach. in the pavilion or designated area. Upper pavilion capacity is up to 100 with electricity. The lower pavilion capacity is 40-50 with electricity. Please call for current rates.
Swimming is also available from late June through Labor Day.
Launch your boat for a $5.00 fee or $35.00 for a season launch pass. (No charge for registered campers) Passes can be purchased at the park during the season or at the Hector Town hall in the off season. They run January 1st to December 31st. For commercial boat launch - dock use please call the office for permit application and fee scale.
Hike along the nature trails. We added many trails in 2012. Come out and enjoy the natural setting and view 200 year old trees and abundant wildlife.
Visit the many nearby attractions and tour the local wineries. Hector National Forest is just up the road! Come and enjoy one of America's most scenic areas!
