I love swimming here with the kids. So mellow and beautiful. You don't need water shoes in the deep end if you aren't touching the bottom but definitely if walking in the shallow water. The walk to the water is definitely an incline on the way back up so don't bring anything too heavy down. The trails and lake are beautiful!!
What a hidden gem on the lake in Seneca! Diane the hostess manager was so kind and knowledgeable. Bathrooms were clean. Beach area was a short walk from our site. Close to great wineries, kayak tours, but quiet and relaxed.
As far as rv parks it doesn't get much more beautiful than Smith park, cheapest lake view your going to get! New bathrooms, amazing swimming area, convenient boat launch, its got everything you need for a wonderful experience with family and friends and many secluded campsites to get away from it all by yourself.
Kevin was great to work with! The bathrooms/showers were very clean. Our tent site was a little rocky but overall a great experience
Beautiful views and access to Seneca Lake. The site needed some attention but hearing they had to rebuild after being washed out last year. This camp has all you essentially need to have a nice weekend away.
We love this park and camping. The new management is not as attentive as in the past. I like that they replaced the South bathroom. This was our 3rd trip here this summer and every time they run out of toilet paper. Bathrooms overall are not mopped ok kept up over the weekends. They need to staff accordingly. Sites 41 and 42 are still our favorite camp sites with waterfront views.
We are on our last of 4 wonderful nights here at Smith Memorial Park! The grounds are beautiful and wooded with a nice swimming area on the lake. There is a boat launch and extra parking if needed. For our first trip to the area we are so happy we found this park, as it is exactly what we were looking for. Diane was am amazing host and keeps the bathrooms so clean. Thank you for such beautiful memories, we cant wait to come back!
We hosted our camping wedding here, and had a great time. The upper pavilion was a great spot to have dinner and play lawn games, and everyone enjoyed hanging out on the beach. The campsites by the lake have a beautiful and tranquil view. The bathrooms are well kept up, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Thanks for a great weekend!
Drove by this place today after 10 or so years since our stay and the horror still is fresh in my mind. Driving around in circle till we realized the people laughing at us were in our site. All tight roads with a boat on back. After we told the admission building someone was in our site He explained that He refused to kick someone out of a site because his regulars often have visitors and they get priority so we must stay in the over flow sites; a field. A discount was not enough after continuing to have run-ins with the so called regulars. Never ever again.
Nice little beach to swim, with a dock to jump off of. I recommend wearing some sort of water shoe because of the muscles on the bottom of the lake. The water is cold, but it feels great once you get used to it. There are also picnic areas. As well as WiFi at the upper pavilion. Another positive is that there is no admission fee, unless you use the boat launch.
