My very first visit & experience to a Smash Burger restaurant. The giant sign "Smash Burger" came into my view and I knew then that I had to give it a try! And it was fantastic . It was a quiet time of that day, so taking my time and deciding on which new tasty zinger to try was easy enough. There was plenty of seating & the wait time for the food to arrive was very short...which made me quite happy . The restaurant was very spacious, clean & was a pleasure to look around, and I can say the same for the washrooms. Over all, I had a very good first trip to a "Smash Burger", and I plan on visiting again in the near future.
We ordered Uber eats from this restaurant. We were so disappointed with the order. The burgers, tots, and Brussel sprouts were cold and not worth the price we paid for. The strawberry milkshake was definitely not worth $12.99. The Brussel sprouts and tots were not worth the price. Please look at my pictures for reference. I have never been so disappointed with an order before. This entire meal cost $54. With this price, you would have an expectation of higher quality food and a decent presentation. I do not recommend it.
Smashburger is yet another one of those gentrified fast food hamburger restaurants that are really just over priced and over hyped. I ordered the Calgary burger and to me it was pretty bland, the meat is under seasoned and it was very greasey. The bacon on top was good, it didn't taste like ready crisp bacon that most burger places put on. Overall I just really don't see the point in places like this, the food is really no better then say Wendys and it's definitely worse then Harvey's. I wouldn't spend the money at Smashburger again.
Wow what happened to smashburger? No more build your own burger, No more tea, They changed the French fries, you get packaged ketchup, Your fountain drink is in a take out cup now. The burger patty tastes pre made now. I'm so sorry to say this will be my last visit.
This is my first time trying Smashburger. Unfortunately it wasn’t the greatest experience. I ordered the Calgary burger. It’s supposed to have fried onions which I love, but they came pretty much raw. The burger patty was extremely thin and wasn’t even put together. It all just fell apart. As for flavour, nothing special. I don’t think the patty was even seasoned at all. I feel this place has the potential to be good, maybe today was just a bad day. I’ll give it one more shot.
Service was horribly slow. I ordered 70$ worth of food and planned to go back after for milkshakes. The promo was one free milkshake per customer, 10$ value but when I went up for milkshakes it was like she didn't remember me paying for 4 meals 10min prior. Maybe it's company policy, but I feel like it was poor quality service and it was enough to make me not return to smashburger. Prices are WAYYYY to high for the quality of food and service.
The new chicken tenders are 10/10. Crunchy and juicy all at the same time. If you want to just try them I recommend getting the kids meal! Best bang for your buck.
Well, as a whole, I was pretty disappointed and won't go here again. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark. My husband and I stopped to grab some food on our way home today, to go and we figured let's give smashburger a try as neither of us had been. The drive home is only about a 10 minute drive from restaurant. He got the BBQ brisket double with the fancy tater tots, and I got the avocado bacon single with the brussel sprouts. He said his was alright, although he was expecting for a double, for it to be more filling than it was and didn't really hit the mark for him, but at least it was still fairly warm when we got home and his bun was soft. The tots weren't anything to write home about either ‍. My burger, I was more disappointed than him. I'm fairly certain they just pulled my bun out of the fridge as it had that stiffness that fridge bread has, and it was literally cold and my burger itself was barely above room temperature. Again, it should have made the 10 minute drive home no problem but it did not. And as for flavour, eh. Again, not anything to write home about, I truly wasn't impressed with anything I got here, I didn't have a moment where I thought "wow, this was worth $45 for a 2 meals!". The brussel sprouts were alright and if I had to choose would probably be my favourite part, but they also weren't hot and didn't taste particularly fresh. I dunno, it was all pretty meh and certainly wasn't worth almost $50 in my opinion.
Delightful storefront staff today. Loved the interaction. The store front was dead and very clean. Bathrooms had been cleaned very wel and ha as pleasant smell it. It also has the option of paper towels as well I hate the air dryers that place only have. Shout out to the ladies in the back today cooking the food. Bailed my burger totally! Not over cooked and done just right. Juicy with epic volumes of flavor and that BBQ sauce, oh mans that BBQ sauce is damn good. Put together with the egg bun and my lord what a good bite of food that is. Real cheddar cheese as well over processed is such a win The smash fries are just so damn good. I started with a fork and a couple Bites into it you with throw the for to the side aiming for handfuls for fries to eat at once. What’s treat
If you like Fatburger this is a slightly better burger joint. They have cleaner options and better quality. It's well worth the trip to try. Prices are comparable to others like it.
