I recently had the pleasure of dining at Skyview Fusion Cuisine in Markham, ON for a dim sum experience, and it was truly exceptional. We visited Skyview Fusion Cuisine for dim sum at 2 PM on a Monday, and it was still bustling—proof of how popular this place is! The dim sum was excellent, with a wide selection that we ordered from a sheet menu. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Standouts for us were the egg tarts, BBQ pork buns, and the short ribs.nnDespite the crowd, the service was quick and attentive, which made the experience even better. The ambiance and table settings were elegant, and the whole experience felt special. Whether you’re a dim sum fan or trying it for the first time, I’d highly recommend Skyview Fusion Cuisine!nnSee the attached photos for some of the dishes we tried—they were as delicious as they look!
Skyview Fusion Cuisine is a popular Cantonese restaurant that specializes in dim sum.nnThe place is quite popular for dim sum on weekends so be prepared to wait. The food portions for each dish are generous. The food was expertly made and tasted fresh. The highlight for me was the char siu it was very tender and had good flavours.
To compare the traditional cuisine of Hong Kong with that of Toronto's Chinatown, we decided to try this restaurant in Markham, recommended by a friend. We did not regret it at all. The food was exceptional, with high-quality dim sum. Each piece was generous, hot, and impeccably fresh. The presentation was well done, and the menu offered original options for a group of several people.nThe service was flawless, and the dishes were served quickly.nThe quality/price ratio is reasonable.
I recently tried the Eight Treasure Duck, Winter Melon Soup, and Mustard Beef.nnThe Eight Treasure Duck and Winter Melon Soup are both priced at $80 each, offering excellent value for their portions, which are sufficient for 10-12 people. The duck was flavorful with a variety of ingredients, making it a standout dish, while the soup was light, refreshing, and well-balanced—a perfect complement to the richness of the duck.nnThe Mustard Beef, priced at $36, felt slightly overpriced. While the portion size was generous, the dish was underwhelming. The beef was tender but over-marinated with baking powder, which compromised the natural flavor, and the mustard sauce was overly salty, masking the dish’s potential.nnRecommendation: The sauce for the Mustard Beef could be improved by reducing the saltiness and balancing the mustard flavor to better highlight the meat’s taste.nnOverall, the Eight Treasure Duck and Winter Melon Soup were delicious and great for large groups. With some tweaks to the Mustard Beef, this meal could become a more balanced dining experience.nProbably it’s on Friday night, overall services are good.nn20/12/2024nThis is my second review for this amazing restaurant, and they continue to impress! We visited for a family dinner of 10 during the winter festival, and despite the full house, the experience was fantastic.nnAs returning customers, we enjoyed some of our favorites like the Eight Treasure Duck and Winter Melon Soup—both were just as excellent as before.nnThe surprise of the night was a new dish: the Three-Onion Shrimp in Clay Pot. It was perfectly fried with spring onions, sweet onion, and ref shallots. The combination of the onions and king-size shrimp created a beautiful balance of onion aroma and seafood flavour. Simple yet absolutely delicious!nnThe other dishes maintained the same excellent standard, and the service was good. But the real standout was the chef’s artistry. The attention to detail in every dish showed the skill of a true culinary master.nnThis restaurant never fails to deliver, whether it’s revisiting old favorites or trying new creations. Highly recommend it for family gatherings or special occasions!
