My wife and I used to go here all the time. My wife's grandmother used to run this place back in the day and then it was real BARBECUE. The food was great. We have not been here for two years due to the fact that prices were insane for what we got. I have just read the reviews and after doing so, there is no way we will be going back. We were actually thinking of going out today, Sunday September the 18th but the reviews were enough for me to stay away. We were once regulars and I loved the place. They put a screen in the outside part years ago and that was wonderful as the flies no longer bothered you. Sounds like they have new owners and they don't know how to cook and carry on the tradition of a once great place. When you get the wrong people at the wheel the ship will end up on the rocks. Just too bad this had to happen.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. Unfortunately, Google does not offer such so here's 1 star! I ordered a fish plate, and it was obvious that the fish had been cooked from frozen. My mom's turkey was dry, and her bun was rock hard. The man behind me had a BUG CRAWL OUT OF HIS FOOD. The waitress said, "oh, it must've fallen from the ceiling." Nope, it actually crawled out of his food. Absolutely disgusting. The whole "woodenness" of the place would be cute if I wasn't worried that wood or dust could fall on my food at any moment. However I will give them this: big dessert portions, and the brownie thing that I had was delicious. The waitress was nice enough, nut I won't be going back.

Got their pulled pork, thinking that a BBQ place would have decent pulled pork, but it was a hockey puck that had clearly just been defrosted, put on my bun, and served to me with a little BBQ sauce on top and not even broken up with a fork after it came out of the microwave! The other person with me got a sandwich. Both of our meals were lesser quality food than I could buy from the local grocery store, overpriced, and left both of us with stomach problems all afternoon. The design of the restaurant is unappealing and somewhat dilapidated feeling in parts. Some unsanitary practises in regards to some of the items at the waitress stations, and I can't make this up to make the experience worse, but my coffee was served with a hair floating in it too. Friends told us to stay away but we decided to try it anyway and will never return. Lives up to the reputation I've heard for it around town. But hey, the baked cakes up front at least looked delicious!

Really great place if all you want is a chocolate milkshake. The BBQ name must come from some off brand microwave because the meat certainly wasn't barbecued. The pie would survive the next apocalypse. Definitely don't waste your money here. Go to McDobalds across the street for a better meal.

We were regulars for a long time but new owners took over and unfortunately it's not the same quality or freshness of food. They are getting better but still not the same. We still go time to time but not nearly as often as we did. Waitresses are always awesome.
