Visited here yesterday to look for sunglasses, not sure what all the negative reviews are about, I received amazing friendly service from all the staff. The lady helping me was not pushy at all and let me browse, she actually had really great taste and eventually suggested a pair of sunglasses that looked great on my face. I fell in love with them! Super happy with my purchase, would definitely come back here again just for the wonderful service.
My husband was looking for a new pair of glasses. We went to the Lansdowne mall store to check it out and were greeted by friendly staff. They had many frames to choose from and were very knowledgeable of prescription and lenses. We got a great deal on frame. They fitted the glasses to your ears. It was light, sharp and great looking. We will go back again.
I have been buying prescription eyeglasses for over 20 years at Skylight Optical and have always received great service from everyone I dealt with at either store. Prior to being a customer of Skylight, I had purchased from other places but the prices were either much higher or they used inferior lenses. I have never had any problems with any eyewear purchased at Skylight. I have always been offered a variety of frames in different price ranges and never upsold. If I insisted on a specific designer frame they would comply and order them for me. The price is always negotiated at the time of purchase and paid in full so there is no mistakes or additional costs. I have always received a phone call to advise me that my glasses were ready for pickup. Usually within the estimated time given. I just purchased new eyeglasses today and will continue to purchase eyewear for myself and my family from Skylight in the future.
Went over to check out their store and i asked to try on a style.. while i was describing the style of the sunglasses i was looking for -- the staff had interrupted me and asked for a photo and sighed in an annoyed tone.... while i was trying on the sunglasses, i asked for the price.. the lady assisting me grabbed the calculator and calculated the total price then dropped the calculator on the counter -- without saying anything and looked away. It was as if she was forced to assist me, but then another staff came to take over and was a little more helpful which is why im giving a two star otherwise it would be a 0. Also another star for the nice selections they have in store. I work in retail as well and understand standard customer service and most of the employees there did not provide that --- not welcoming, rude, and not helpful.
We visited this place today hoping to get a new pair of sunglasses but unfortunately, we were dismayed by the first store associate who approached behind us. While we were looking for some sunglasses on display when all of a sudden a girl, wearing a brown cardigans begun talking to us in an aggressive tone and she was loud. I was embarrassed the way she talked. It looked like she’s looking for a fight! I remained chill, but I couldn’t help myself but to look at her, as if I’m trying to read her - maybe she is not the “usual” associate. Maybe she’s a person who has hearing problem. Then there’s this Asian guy who accommodated us professionally. Then moved to another lady, who I believe doesn’t know her job well. We told her that my partner’s sunglasses are polarized w/c is very obvious but yet, she doubled checked them under the light. With that being said, we doubted if they can make us good lenses if not better. Lastly, I noticed that two of the associates were secretly taking photos of one of the lady customers, which made my brows raised. All I can say is that, we are a small business owner as well, who made sure that we respect and create a welcoming , friendly and safe environment for everybody. To end this review, we did not buy anything here. Instead, we went to a different shop just next door.
I’m very happy to get what I was looking for so quickly. I knew this place from a friend long ago. But I don’t want to travel to Richmond. So I found this store in DT which is much closer to me. I tried several pairs and the staff recommended some thing similar to what I wanted. However I don’t like them. So I show him the one I saw online and he quickly looked it up, and ordered for me. He I don’t know his name is very good at his job for sure. He did his measuring when I didn’t even know and he got every detail confirmed in one go. And when I went in to pick up today, I was so late, and they cut the lenses in a very short time. So I don’t have to come back again! I like them knowing what they are doing. And they do carry lots of fashion frames! Glad I found my new glasses here. Very importantly with a reasonable price I got the thinnest lenses with all functions.
Got a great pair of Gucci optical glasses here for a promotional price 50% off! while the same pair was selling at full price in every other optical store in downtown I literally check every other store. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. I even came back a few days after wearing the glasses to have them adjusted to fit my face better. They assisted very quickly and advised that I could come back and get them adjusted again any time in the future. My experience has been nothing but positive so I think they'll be my go-to store from now on!
Amazing customer service! I bought a designer pair of glasses only to find them a little uncomfortable after a coupler of weeks once i started wearing them for longer periods of time. Loved the style but they weren't for me in terms of fit. The staff was exceptionally helpful fitting me with an alternative pair that are equally as stylish but much more comfortable. it was a hassle free exchange process. I'd highly recommend Skylight Optical for your next pair of glasses
been going here for years! Angus is the best and has great customer service. my favourite place to get glasses, sunglasses and contacts.
ln the past l went to Skylight for 10 years ... The gentlemen l delft with Osmen had retired ,a while back . Wonderful guy .. l noticed the place had gone down hill .. Raymond the manager , is not welcoming at all . Zero customer service , zero personality . NOTE: That"s the last time , My self or my Family/Friends will walk in there AGAIN . I walked into CREATIVE EYECARE ON ROBSON , and they BLEW me away! Maybe it was meant to be ?
