One of our favorites when we visit the area. They have maintained the quality, speed and customer service. They have also adapted with technology and Toast Register for payments. Just an added bonus for the Tech Savvy users. Vegetarian options: There are items on the menu that don't include meat. Slaw, fries, salads etc. See for yourself. Kid-friendliness: The menu is very kid friendly. Hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries, burgers, mac n cheese, cheese curds, pickles etc. See the menu. Parking: Parking right in front or on the side. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is right by the wheelchair ramp. Easily accessible.
It's an excellent fish fry experience. I would suggest getting your meal to go, and eating by the river or lake. Indoor accommodations are lacking. Staff has always been really nice, though. Food here is ALWAYS delicious! Would recommend over other local fish fry hot spots on price alone, with a comparable menu and quality. It's one of Oswego's best kept secrets.
Sorry it took me so long to post this. The two Gentlemen that were working that day were nothing but hospitable!! They went out of their way to make sure that we had great dining experience.I was with my grandson who is another FOODIE!!The seafood was Crazy Fresh and the lobster Roll was Loaded with Meat Delicious.I would recommend it to anyone if you looking for great seafood at a fair price this is the place to go....We will be back again and again. Thanks Guys for the GREAT EXPERIENCE
Awesome run to this place put your order in so for 13 you get a whole fried fish or they can grill it and order fries and you get a side of slaw I could only eat half of it as you can see there's a to-go container that has enough for me to eat for dinner or for seven I think 99 you could get all a cart just the fish fry couple dollars cheaper you can get a lunch or a couple more cheaper à la carte it's just there's a nice coating on the french fries oh my god The fries are a meal? Three nice gentleman you won't be disappointed and you will come back you have good dipping sauce ketchup and ranch not like some other ones or you can't even eat it lol I'm telling you just order anything you will love it and you'll come back for more
Best place in NY state to get fresh haddock! Fried or broiled. The scallops and everything else I've had so far are hands down, awesome! They're open year round and also have a stand at the Oswego speedway. Highly recommend a trip to Oswego, NY for their seafood! Prices are great.
Stopped by after reading reviews online. This place did not disappoint! The haddock pieces were large, tartar sauce homemade and delicious, and everyone was warm and friendly. Can't wait to stop by again when I'm in the area again!Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Hungry? Get the seafood platter: jumbo shrimp, large piece of fish, and scallops!
As with most restaurants in the area, Skip’s Fish Fry was closed in the early afternoon 3:45PM on a Monday. Maybe this is as much a Google Map issue as any. But there was very small sign on the door unreadable from the road, and all the lights were off.
Food quality is reasonable, portion sizes are better than most local fish establishments- although portion consistency needs refined. Food served was tasty, fresh and hot. Gladly will continue our patronage.
I have been here three times in the last two years. I didn't care too much for it, but I wanted to give it a few tries before being done with it, as it seems people like this place for some reason. I was just in for the last time. Service was good and prompt, but should be expected as I was the only customer there. The fish was just OK, which is better than I can say for the last two times I was in. The food is way overpriced. Their $10 fish sandwich is small. This size fish sandwich is $5 to $7 most places between Oswego and Syracuse. The hand made onion rings are mediocre. The frozen fries are meh. Why not do fresh hand cut fries? Would be much better. The $18 dollars I spent for lunch is just way too much for the product received. And that was a deal I guess because I got the lunch special. If the food was of higher quality and the price was closer to $13, it would make sense to go here. Otherwise, you are paying about double what this food is currently worth. Why is it so hard to find a good fish sandwich these days? I miss Jim's fish fry in Syracuse. It was always delicious and if anything it was underpriced. It is probably what ended them during the plandemic.
