Siskiyou County Treasurer

Wayne is the only tax man I trust, he's a heck of a good guy and when I call up to the county, he calls back. He's surrounded by rules he doesn't set, he just administers and does his job. But when it's time as a home owner in Siskiyou County who has lived here for 27 years, he listens. This is a man of high moral standards, something that is rare these days, yet we have so many others workers behind the scenes in our county offices that deserve praise. Thank you for still making me and others feel like we live in Mayberry RFD. Even Floyd the barber approves and would cut Wayne's hair. Government done right, that's Wayne Hammar.

Drove up to pay our taxes from Mt Shasta. You said on your website you were open. Get to your door...locked! Another couple showed up and said I am calling. No answer. Looked on door for the reason and finally this small note to the side says closed for Caesar Chavez Day! Please make sure you give accurate info..a wasted trip!!!
