The staff at Fairchild Medical Center lack compassion and empathy. On a March 31, 2017, I admitted myself as I was very sick. My triage nurse told me my case was not a priority and it would be a long wait. After two hours, I was finally seen by a doctor. He ordered me an IV for the pain, nausea and anxiety. The nurse who came to administer the IV poked my vein four times, and could not start an IV. None of the nurses knew what to do then, so they ordered some scripts and sent me away. In the end, I was not helped and was treated as a nuisance. Drive to another hospital if you can.

They still employ Dr. Duncan who has a 50% newborn/infant mortality rate... Do not allow her to touch you if you're pregnant.

My experience is that my brother was in ICU and the Doctor's and Nurses that cared for him treated him as if he was one of the own family members. You don't find that hardly anymore. Thank You from the bottom of my Heart. May God be with each and every one of you. My brothers name is Neil and my name is Cindy

I was treated like a drug attic...highly offensive!!!  Especially for someone who doesn't drink or smoke cigarettes and have never ever abused pills!!!!!  I hate the hospital here in yreka.  No one seems to care.  I will never go back...mt.shasta is so much nicer with an amazingly amazing staff!

If you have a choice and it is not an emergency avoid this hospital. It is well known in yreka that this is a terrible place to be treated. Although you may get lucky and get one of the very few good doctors here.
