Simply Crepes Cafe and Catering of Canandaigua

We like to come here for a treat every once in awhile - can get a little pricier than it seems crepes would be, especially if you have several people, but I consider it a splurge and well worth it when we visit. I know they have sweet AND savory items and I always consider getting the savory, but then I remember how AWESOME the sweets are! We normally each get a different one and then shares our between us. I'm not so much of a fruity person so I get something extra chocolatey and then share smaller pieces of my daughters fruit-filled ones. Cute place and nice atmosphere - and a good way to learn how YUMMY crepes can really be! :) Oh and I'd say the servings are so big you'll be taking leftovers home, BUT somehow we always manage to hurt ourselves extremely and basically lick the plate clean and no leftovers for us. (I tell myself they might not be as good warmed up anyway - works for me)

From sweet to savory, they make a wide selection of crepes for any time of the day and most tastes. has a rustic yet cozy feel with a fireplace, brick work, and exposed stained beams in the main dining and a fun patio out back, the kitchen is partly open to the dining area for interested visitors to experience how crepes are made. this restaurant has become a go to place for visitors to get a feel for Canandaigua Downtown.

To be completely honest, we did not have a good experience here. The place itself is perfect inside. However, I had a breakfast crepe with egg and bacon and it was less than satisfactory. The bacon was burnt and the entire crepe was very very dry. My girlfriend got the bottomless coffee, however, the server was absent for 99% of our experience. We waited for 30 minutes after the meal to be acknowledged for the bill. I understand that this is likely a one-off for this place, but I left disappointed that I had to pay for the disappointing meal and service.

Simply Crepes is a great place for all kinds of crepes. Such nice wait staff too. They serve their breakfast crepes all day. I had the chicken and waffles. 2 huge pieces of chicken with bacon served on a crepe with burbon maple syrup. My friend had the Philly steak. She said how flavorful it was. And my other companion had scrambled eggs with andouie sausage crepe. What a combination for the 3 of us! We also enjoyed poutine, and deep fried pickles. I love this place! (can you tell?)

The savory crepe choices are awesome. The Bloody Mary was delicious and so was the Minestrone soup.
