Shoppers Drug Mart

Do yourself a favour and go to an independent pharmacy instead of Shoppers. Even if you have no issues now, your overall service will be better.nnConstant issues with coverage for my medication. This review specific to this location, but the behaviour similar to other locations I've been to. I would spend hours calling and driving back over and over just to get a refill. Only about two of them knew how to actually fix it in their system, and couple others kind enough to figure it out for me when they didn't, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. The rest kept insisting it was nothing they could do even if I mentioned the solution I was given. I suggested talking between eachother and they would reluctantly, but not before continuing to insist there was nothing that they could have possibly done differently before, simply because it doesn't show it in their system. Even when I clearly had the medication covered many times before.nnAfter many refills, I lost patience and transferred to an independent pharmacy, hoping it'd get fixed. They called back right after my refill request when they noticed the issue and fixed it instantly. Asked what the problem was in more detail and it was the simplest and easiest solution I ever heard.

I'd rate less than one star if it would let me. Nothing but problems with my family and my prescriptions, either not on time or plain forgot. We switched pharmacies due to a closer pharmacy, and they cancelled 3 ready prescriptions after asking me if they were going to be picked up!!?? Very unprofessional and petty! Won't ever use that franchise again!!!

The pharmacist was so helpful, taking the time to listen attentively and to provide explanations about what could be helpful. He did so, even though I was 3rd in line and others were waiting, and for all and every one of us, he showed the same professionalism with kindness. I did not get his name; I went at around 8 pm today, quite a busy time as tomorrow is Canada day. Thank you.

The pharmacy never answers the phone. The staff at the pharmacy usually younger associates who don’t know what they’re doing are rude and unprofessional. I’ve had my medication switched with someone else’s before. The pharmacist is nice.

I enjoy going to shopper’s especially on Thursdays .. they always have amazing deals for saving some cash . They’re most likely always the first to stock up some of my favorite products that aren’t available to the Canadian market
