Do not go to the pharmacy here. This pharmacy has tried giving me other people's medication without properly verifying my identity. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous pharmaceutical practices. I have reported their behaviour to the College of Pharmacists of BC. This pharmacy had their head pharmacist straight up scream at me because I wanted to know what a co-pay fee was, like the typical white broad Karen, she was. You will never get a phone call to go through to the pharmacy. I have straight up seen them pick up and hang up phones so as not to answer customers. This is also the pharmaceutical location that lost my prescription, having a pharmacist technician look around for it for no joke, over twenty minutes. This is hands down one of the worst pharmacies in BC. If you need to use a pharmacy in this area, use the one at Save on Foods. Besides a slight issue figuring out how to connect my insurance to my medications through them, the first time I went, they've had no issues since then. If you honestly need a better reason to trust that this pharmacy is absolutely appalling, just look at the other reviews for the pharmacy on this website. Nearly every single one has a reply comment from Shoppers trying to do damage control. Absolutely pathetic. TLDR: Pharmacy is awful, use the one at Save on Foods across the street, instead.
Worst location avoid at all cost!!! If I can give them zero stars I would but I’m forced to give the one. The pharmacy has such a huge line up for Covid testing and the pharmacist literally was not starting testing until there was a big group of people formed. Which is I guess more convenient for them but they do not respect the customers time at all. So basically who ever comes first has to wait the longest and who ever comes last has to wait the least. Which is completely unfair I will be complaining to life labs aswell as they contracted out to shoppers.
DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK HERE for pharmacy needs again. I have been at their pharmacy 3 times. And all 3 times, they asked if I can come back after 6pm. I did come back after 6pm and it's not yet done. I would spend at least 30minutes for it. I know it's not that long, but compared to other drugstore, this is too much. Specially considering they had time to prepare it. I asked one of the staff there, they said it's because they're short staffed. I know it's not their fault. I think the management should do something about it. The staff can only do as much. This store needs more staff at a time. Seriously. Our frontliners have been in so much work, and getting short staffed is the last thing that will help them. UPDATE: For my 3rd business with them, I went to get my prescription medicine. It was a long lineup and they're taking too long to accomodate customers. After aboit 15minutes, I decided to just come back later when it's not too busy. I came back about 12 minutes before closing time and sure enough, no lineup. Then the pharmacist lectured me about going in early and how 11 minutes before closing is unacceptable. Be there early, you'll wait minimum 30 minutes. Be there late, there's a lecture.
This pharmacy used to have great service. In the last 6 months, however, employees NEVER answer the phone I had an emergency where I needed to renew my migraine medicine and couldn’t, when you renew prescriptions it’s a minimum 48 hour wait to have them filled, and about a month ago I received my meds in a prescription bottle that had someone else’s label underneath — meaning they reused a prescription bottle this breaks both confidentiality AND hygiene regulations. Transferring my prescriptions NOW.
Absolutely, go to other pharmacy, I thought I'm the only but gone through all those feedback looks like they don't enough trained staff or poor management. They don't answer the phone no matter what time or how long you keep calling. It's been 3 weeks as I didn't get regular prescription refill. So please reconsider choosing this pharmacy and save your time.
I mean the staff are nice, but some major issue. I'm not sure if it'd due to understaffed but I've had some emergencies and tried calling every hour throughout the day. They NEVER answer the phone. Even my doctor said he'd call my pharmacy to try to straighteb out the issue with my prescription with the pharmacist on the phone.he asked me which pharmacy I go to I said "the one on Ning geroge in newton" he said "oh God, yeah, we won't be able to get through, they never answer the phone. So its obviously an ongoing issue
I’ve been trying to reach the pharmacy and they keep putting me back on hold… rings… back on hold… rings… back on hold. Over and over and over again. My surgeon called in a antibiotic I desperately need today and I need to see if it’s ready, and of course 9 minutes now of bouncing the hold to ringing…. Seems this is a constant problem which is completely unacceptable. Not sure why this is is an ongoing issue based off the reviews I’m reading. Will be reporting to the board of pharmacies.
Worst pharmacy ever! I do not recommend this pharmacy at all. They never answer their phone and it's not the first time. Even my moms family doctor is never able to reach them. The lady said they are too busy yet when I went there, there were five of them there and you're telling me not a single one of them were able to answer the phone? That's just ridiculous! Not only that, when i got there they couldn't fill my mom's prescription because I didn't have the original copy and they couldn't accept the copy I faxed over to them either but didn't bother to call me or my mom to let us know they couldnt accept that.. instead had me drive all the way there from Vancouver to tell me they couldn't fill it. What terrible service. I don't even give them one star. They literally get 0 for the worst service ever.
Had a COVID PCR test scheduled here and they cancelled it via text. Called them to what that's all about and they said they just changed their website. After I booked it already last week? Really? Afterwards the pharmacist just hung up on me! No time to even reply just straight hung up. Called back and asked which location does tests at the day I needed and he told me to call LifeLabs cause' he doesn't know. Hung up again! A real character the man.
Would do zero stars if possible for the pharmacy that is. Ever since I switched to this location I've had nothing but trouble. Today I was told that, even tho my doctor filled my prescription, I had to wait until the 13th to fill my order unless I wanted to pay for it even tho I'm on disability and it should be covered. They basically accused me of trying to refill my prescription too early, even tho I'm a week without my PSYCH meds and now will be for much longer. They withhold important medication. Absolute shame.
