Today my shopping experience was above and beyond in the cosmetics department. Juliette is an absolute gem and is a bright Light. My second experience shoppingwith her and she always has great recommendations and is genuinely helpful. So Grateful. Teresa in cosmetics is also wonderful and I appreciate her help when she's assisted me. Shoppers is lucky to have them.
Great shoppers! Only one in Canada to have their own Jo Malone collection and sales rep during holidays. I got alot of great things from the cosmetics section here. The ladies are amazing at what they do!
I had a wonderful experience with Aedin! He supported me through a stressful situation and helped understand the medication I was looking for my friend who was having a severe allergic reaction on her skin! I will definitely be coming back for the great service I experienced!
Sarah is the best seller in Vancouver. I came here for a cheap face wash and ended up spending money at your store. She put together a complete set of skincare products and I left super happy! Take care of her
I am extremely disappointed by my experience with the pharmacist at this Shoppers Drug Mart.nnOn Sunday, January 18, 2026 at approximately 9:45 pm, I contacted this location because I am 33 weeks pregnant and also breastfeeding my youngest child. I have been taking a prescribed anxiety medication an SSRI for over 6 years at a low, stable dose. Earlier that evening, I began experiencing severe symptoms, including dizziness, sweating, nausea, and vomiting. At first, I didn’t realize the cause, but by the time I understood it was due to missing my medication, my regular pharmacy was already closed.nnDue to an unforeseen situation, my car went in for servicing and my newly filled prescription was left inside the vehicle, leaving me without access to my medication. I experience withdrawal symptoms every time I go longer than 24 hours without this medication, and my symptoms progressively worsen. At that point, I was already vomiting, dizzy, and increasingly concerned about dehydration, especially while pregnant and breastfeeding.nnI contacted the nurses’ line, who specifically recommended calling Shoppers Drug Mart because they are open late and pharmacists are often able to assess the situation and, where appropriate, provide a one-time emergency supply until things can be sorted out with a doctor.nnWhen I spoke with the pharmacist on duty, I tried to explain my situation, my medical history, and my concerns. The pharmacist dismissed my attempts to explain, told me that my medication “does not have withdrawal symptoms,” and suggested I was likely just feeling sick because I am pregnant. This is medically inaccurate. SSRIs are well known to cause withdrawal symptoms. I know my own body and my own medical history.nnWhile I understand that a pharmacist may choose not to provide an emergency supply, the way this was handled was unacceptable. A simple, respectful refusal would have been enough. Instead, I was given incorrect medical information and made to feel dismissed, judged and made to feel like a drug seeking addict while experiencing significant physical distress.nnThis interaction left me feeling unsupported during a very vulnerable moment. All patients pregnant and breastfeeding included deserve to be treated with respect, empathy, and accurate information, even when the answer is no.
