Shoppers Drug Mart

Pharmacy takes almost 2 hours to fulfill simple prescriptions even after you call them in advance. Most times you arrive and it still isn't done and they tell you 20 minutes but then it turns into 45. The shoppers in airdrie takes 10-15 minutes tops. When you call it takes ages to get ahold of the Pharmacy in general. They need more staff or something this is unacceptable customer service. They are also lazy when it comes to calling your doctor to ask for refills. They can send a fax or call but they choose not to. I understand with covid it can be busy but this has been going on well before this pandemic started.

For the most part I absolutely LOVE Shoppers. Debbie is one of my favourite people in the whole world. She is so sweet, so caring, and just in general amazing. The staff are all usually really great. Today however I learned the hard way that the pharmacy will not let you have service dogs with you when getting your vaccines. This is very hard for some people, especially those with chronic anxiety, life threatening illnesses, ptsd, etc. Like I said, usually love them. Today however made me lose some respect for the pharmacy.

Is it a requirement for shoppers to hire the RUDEST most incompetent staff they can find!?!?!?! Village mall shoppers and lacombe shoppers, you both SUCK! I have NEVER had issues with a pharmacy or staff like I have here. Take HOURS to fill a prescription, can't follow directions if it would save there lives, always rushing you away, never helpful, and again so so so so so RUDE!

Th[is Pharmacy has mixed up my perscriptions numerous time,I always check my perscriptions before leaving the store,,yes we all make mistakes,but this has happened one to many time.also forgetting to do my perscription,so i phone in the next day and ask if my perscription is ready,,then the lady gets very rude and hangs up on me.[seriously] Do yourself and family a big safe favour and go some place else. Just remember I told you so, Stay safe Stay healt

We have always had excellent service at this Shoppers. On Saturday Cynthia helped us with some cosmetics needs and was terrific. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend them.

Super helpful and friendly staff. I had purchased some items at another Shoppers but did not qualify for 20x points. I went to this Shoppers after, and purchased two additional items - the staff was kind enough to go through the process of returning all the previous purchased items from another Shoppers and re-scann them so I could benefit from the 20x points offer. It was a tedious process, and they had a smile on their face the entire time. Top notch customer service! I would definitely shop here again.

In the Shoppers Drug Mart in Lacombe. There is a cashier named Deborah, She is the sweetest, kindest most helpful person that I've ever come across. Don't get me wrong.. I have never had a bad experience in the Shoppers in Lacombe ever... But this lady is extra special in my oppinion. I recently have hurt my hand to where it is not functioning well. It's difficult for me at times, but this woman never makes me wait for a cashier that's open.. She always takes me through whatever till she is on.. Even if it's the makeup section. She always asks how I am doing and really puts in an effort to make sure I am comfortable and ok that day. I appreciate her service completely..so if your ever in Shoppers Lacombe.. Say hi to Deborah!

I have gotten 12 texts from this pharmacy. I have texted them back 3 times and even called them asking for them to please stop texting me.. What can I do to get them to stop???? **** Update**** It has been 8 months since my original post. I have now gotten 34 texts from this pharmacy. I have called them on three different occasions dealing with this. I have even had someone from Shoppers I believe main office contact me regarding this harassment. But I am still getting texts from them. **** Yet anouther update**** I am now at 59 texts that I have gotten from them. I have even blocked their number. But is didn't help. Iam still getting texts from them For everyone reading this... DO NOT give this pharmacy your phone number or any personal information.

My wife went to get me some A5 3/5 ointment. When she got home it was the wrong one. I went right back to Shoppers in Lacombe. I got the right one and another item and went to the till for an exchange and a purchase. The lady at the till informed me they are to say no to returns. I explained we wiped it off and I came right back. I also said there is no sign that says no returns, it was an exchange anyway. She then phoned someone and came back and said when Covid 19 is over to return it then. I get the fact places are not doing returns on hoarding purchases right now but this was a tube of ointment, not a hoarding purchase. I also realize the importance of being careful right now but there are ways around an exchange. What if a costumer prior to me touched something I picked up, do they wipe down every item every minute? They could have placed it somewhere for 3 days just to be safe and then restocked it. As well it was an exchange for the proper ointment. If this is the policy they should have signs at the till or in the store somewhere explaining this policy, like the stores who are not taking hoarding returns. I left the store and just said I would keep the ointment. Common sense needs to be used by there people. Not like I opened the product and used some. I will not shop at Shoppers ever again. As I understand it after the fact others have had problems with returns even prior to Covid 19. Very disappointed.

Pharmacy canceled my appointment without my knowledge or consent. I took time off work as I work out of town. I show up to my appointment and then was informed they canceled on me!?!?! So now I have to reschedule off work again! Thanks, great job
