I went to this Shoppers location to purchase needle tips and barrels after running out. I normally go to the Cassells Street location, but this one was closer at the time.nnWhen I asked for my usual sizes, they didn’t have them, so I said I’d take 10 barrels and 10 tips. At checkout, I was told the total was $22.60, which is completely unreasonable. I explained that needle tips are typically $0.10, barrels $0.20, and often free with a prescription. I have never paid anywhere near that price.nnAfter calling over a coworker, they said they could charge $1.00 per set instead of per item, which still works out to $0.50 per tip and $0.50 per barrel — far above the standard pricing. I explained that the Cassells Street location has SKU pricing clearly listed: $0.10 per tip, $0.20 per barrel, or $0.35 for a mated pack. They said they’d never heard of this and insisted that wasn’t correct.nnI left and drove to the Cassells Street location, where I purchased 10 barrels and 20 tips including extras for $4.50 after tax — exactly the price I told the staff here it should be.nnCharging $1.00 per needle tip or barrel is unacceptable and feels like price gouging. Patients should be aware this is not the regular price and they do not have to pay that much. I strongly recommend going to another Shoppers location to avoid being overcharged.
I shop at this location over the other locations nearby. I have most often found the staff to be helpful and welcoming and tonight was no exception. Whether it’s the gentleman who was taking care of the floors, or the super friendly cashier working this evening, it makes for a positive experience that keeps me coming back. I can’t speak for the prescription services as I don’t use them but when I’ve had questions regarding OTC products flu, sinusitis, etc they’ve been generous with their guidance and knowledge.
This place needs to create a zero cellphone policy for employees. Walked in and instantly saw a female employee on her phone talking. I was there for 15 minutes looking for a specific item, looked up and down the make up aisles, couldn't find anyone. Finally she walked by, still talking on her phone. I shouldn't have to feel like im interrupting someone's conversation in order to ask for assistance. Not okay!
The makeup counter ladies were extremely helpful and kind my shopping was made easy !!!!nThe post office handle return very fast and Efficient thank you !!
Needed a prescription pharmacies can now provide and had a very positive experience. The pharmacist who assist me was very professional and knowledgeable. They were extremely busy on a Tuesday evening and were not able to immediately help me. I returned 40 minutes later and waited about another 40 mins to get my prescription. Def better than going to a clinic.
