This location has completely lost our trust after a disturbing and humiliating experience involving my 63-year-old mother.nnMy mother has been a regular customer at this Shoppers Drug Mart for over five years, during which time she has consistently received the senior discount at this exact location. Two days prior to this incident, she reserved two perfumes with a cosmetics employee and was explicitly told she could return on senior day to complete the purchase.nnWhen she returned, the assistant manager identified as Molly behaved in a hostile, confrontational, and unprofessional manner from the start. My mother was spoken to rudely, cut off while explaining the situation, and treated as though she were trying to do something dishonest — despite a long, documented history with this store.nnEven more concerning, after my mother disengaged and went to the cash register to pay, this assistant manager followed her across the store to instruct the cashier not to apply the senior discount, escalating the situation and publicly embarrassing an older customer.nnRegardless of internal policy changes, there is no justification for aggressive behavior, intimidation, or humiliation of a senior customer — especially by someone in a management position. This was not a policy discussion; it was a misuse of authority and a complete failure of customer service.nnWe consider this incident deeply inappropriate and are escalating it to Shoppers Drug Mart Head Office. Management should be aware that this assistant manager’s conduct reflects extremely poorly on the brand and raises serious concerns about how elderly customers are treated at this location.nnUntil this is addressed, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this store to anyone.
Every single time I come into this shoppers drugmart, I am being monitored as if I am some low life thief, OBVIOUSLY because I am a person of colour. Tonight specifically, i walk straight into the deodorant aisle because I needed to purchase deodorant and IMMEDIATELY I am approached by Derek asking if I need something. Clearly I do if I came in here? He then proceeds to tell me to leave the store once I expressed to him I do not need his help and I asked if he monitors every other customer like this. Like I mentioned, this happens every single time I come into this store. Between Derek and Dominica I am being watched like a hawk as I purchase my 1.5L Aquafina water bottle and 35 cent bag. Today, me buying deodorant was the odd exception. This behaviour is absolutely disgusting and the only two white people who happen to be working when I come in are the ONLY TWO people who give me the absolute worst experience when shopping there. I do not recommend any people of colour go to this shoppers at all, and especially not at night when DEREK AND DOMINICA the racism leaders are there. Horrible horrible store
I recently visited this store to purchase a perfume, and unfortunately, I had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a Shoppers location. The associate in the cosmetics section wearing blue lenses was extremely disinterested, unhelpful, and came across as quite arrogant.nnShe did not provide pricing information or allow us to properly test the perfumes, and it felt as though she simply wanted us to make a purchase quickly and leave. When customers are spending over $100 on a fragrance, the least they should expect is courtesy and assistance in making a decision.nnI would strongly recommend that the store manager spend some time coaching this employee on basic customer service etiquette, as the current approach does not reflect the standards Shoppers is known for. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location for cosmetic purchases.
Located in the heart lake plaza and opens early at 8am to 12am. Always clean and well organized they always have products I need, when some products are not on sale prices can be bit expensive to my liking
Very disappointing service from the ladies in the pharmacy. They were rude and unprofessional, with no basic communication or patient-handling skills. Their attitude and behavior were unacceptable — no courtesy, no ethics, and no professionalism at all.
