The chicken was very tender, juicy and not overcooked. The fries were crisp and hot. The rice bland and soft, perhaps overcooked. The service was good, not great. Lunch for two with 20% tip was $40. Another alternative restaurant nearby is, Laura's Casual Kitchen. Best chicken sandwich!
Exceptional food, very reasonably priced and large portions. The chicken is not greasy and the ribs fall off the bone. Very clean and well maintained. Pleasant staff. This was a hidden jem.
Great chicken. Had dinner there last Friday Under new management and my wife insisted. Found the chicken and the sauce and coleslaw better than Swiss Chalet The service much better than Swiss Chalet Uxbridge Spotless premises We were in and out within 30 minutes . Much better tha fast food. The buns had garlic butter on it NC and the table water tasted great ! I truly hope they become really successful.
The best chicken in town. Way better than Haugen's. Service maybe slow, but worth it!
Came in on a snowy Sunday afternoon. We were greeter by a friendly man who showed us to out seat. We shared a quarter chicken breast and a strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was very good, I especially like the syrup? They pour in the cup before. The chicken was also really good, my girlfriend and I both enjoyed it. Was served with fries and slaw that were also very good. Overall a good little restaurant
2019.05.15 UPDATE: There’s been a change in management and, unfortunately, the quality of the meals we had were unappetizing. The previous 4 star rating had now been downgraded to a 2; the exterior of the restaurant now looks ramshackle, with their signs broken and looking abandoned. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Located in the midst of farm fields on Hwy 12, this unassuming restaurant is a little gem! A little further north of Haugen’s, the food is much better! The food was tasty and hot, the service was super friendly! We’re absolutely glad we stopped and tried it out!! You should too!
We stopped at Shiva's Chicken on our way through Port Perry. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly. The menu was easy to read. The servings were a great size but the best part of the whole meal was the Garlic Cheese Bread. I have never had anything like it. I was totally impressed. Thank you Shiva's for doing something different with Garlic Cheese Bread.
Awesome food, portion size will leave you very full. Prices are quite reasonable, 6 adults with full size meals was around $100. You can't get that combo of price and portion size as well as quality of food in many places anymore.
Have stopped at Shiva's twice and every time the food is great and the prices is fair. Service is excellent. Last visit our group of bikers had a problem with a battery. The staff found booster cables and boosted the bike for us!
The washroom was veey dirty and the whole restaurant smelled like bleach. Their steak and eggs was very bad: uncooked eggs and the steak tasted like burnt oil. The only good things were the great service and the fresh coffee.
