The sweetest waitress, Heather, served us. We were a family of three ordering with many questions and she was delightful. I loved my quarter chicken dinner with fries and a dinner bun. My husband and daughter ordered ribs and chicken too. Had leftovers today. Still yummy. Stop driving by and saying "we should go there" and make a point of going there - IT'S SO GOOD! Great prices, large space, fast service, lovely staff, lots of options and the desserts looked good but none of finished our dinner so dessert was off the table this time.
My partner and I randomly stumbled upon this gem! The decor and ambiance is a Time Capsule of the 60’s / 70’s which certainly added to the charismatic charm of the place. Our waitress Grace I believe her name was, was exceptional and provided outstanding service. I ordered the bacon burger and my partner ordered the chicken and ribs combo. The food was fresh , the chicken was moist and the ribs simply melted in your mouth. For desert we ordered coconut cream pie , though we were stuffed , it’s desert so it doesn’t count and sure glad we did, it was tasty and simply one of the bests I’ve ever had. We will certainly be back!
Last minute food choice that turned out to be amazing. The ribs are just so tender and a perfect balance between tasting the meat and the barbecue sauce. The coleslaw honestly was one of the best I have had. It is creamy and full of flavour. It took around 10 minutes for the food to be ready. 10/10 would recommend.
We stopped here on out way to blue heron casino. So much hype I was expecting a lot better. The staff are outstanding very welcoming etc kind . The food was ok I mean I got chicken rib combo and only dark meat. The sauces I wasn't a fan. The fries where good. After learning the pies where made in house I went with blueberry was ok. Maybe we went late but I will keep it at 3 star for now. It has the old classic dinner feel to it
We were a party of 8 here. The service was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was so juicy. This place is a must go if you are in the area. I will definitely be coming back. My only critique would be to have the gluten free options marked on the menu, as we had to ask the waitress, and she wasn't sure about the gluten free options and had to ask the chef. Dietary restrictions: Their fries and rotisserie chicken are gluten free.
One of the best Chicken strips I have ever tasted.... The coconut cream pie is very fresh and creamy....
This place is awesome that’s all I can say. Take a nice scenic relaxing drive from the City and visit yet another great family run restaurant. Casual with plenty of seating and an awesome staff that always seems happy to serve you. Prices are reasonable, portions are good and the food is fresh and delicious. Fan favourites are the Chicken Noodle Soup, Juicy Rotisserie Chicken, Fall off the bone Ribs, Coleslaw, Fresh Cut Fries along with their warm homemade sauce. Oh and try to leave some room for their Coconut Cream Pie, it’s a winner.
Took a different route home from Toronto yesterday, was hungry, saw a sign for the restaurant and decided to try it out. Food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their selections, service was fast, waitress was friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t try the pie as none of us had room for dessert.
Second time I have been here within days, the first for takeaway and the second for COVID compliant dine in and both the service and most importantly the food were impeccable, and of quality. Well worth the trek from surrounding townships such as Uxbridge and suburbs such as Toronto. Well situated in a central and beautiful country setting. Would highly recommend.
Although we’ve been here many times including eating in the car during the pandemic, after watching The Handmaid’s Tale and seeing the sign in a scene, we decided to go on Thursday night for dinner. It was great. I had a chicken sandwich & soup and my husband had chicken and ribs. They were both scrumptious! This place not only serves great food but the waitresses are so cool. Grace served us and we talked about the sign in the show and laughed while both sang to Corey Hart on the radio. The owner came out and we told him we’d enjoyed our meal and time there very much. It’s clean and they still have their Covid barriers up and are seating well to keep their diners safe. The prices are good for what you get quality and portion wise. We both ate half and brought the rest home for lunch the next day. I can’t recommend more. To see this little place in Port Perry advertised on my favourite show was thrilling and as always they didn’t disappoint. Do yourself a favour and check them out!!!
