It’s a small Singaporean restaurant with great heart, the owner is very friendly and the food is very tasty. I like the laksa very much, spicy and lot of ingredients. The chicken rice is good but the portion is not much. Satay and kaya toast are both delicious. Overall I like this restaurant because the owner is serving with hearts and the food is wonderful compared with some Malaysian restaurants.
Authentic Singapore cuisine in a small family style restaurant on Kingsway. Food is delicious and service is warm and personal. Laksa, fish wrapped with banana leaf, meat puff and satay grilled kabobs are all very good. Highly recommend.
Love love love. Family-run super authentic Singaporean food. The flavours are just perfect, nothing is too spicy. The curry puffs are flaky and I like the addition of the boiled egg. The laksa has everything you would want--tofu puffs, shrimp, fish cakes, etc. Food is more affordable than most places in Vancouver and came out fast.Food: 5/5
I really enjoyed it here. Service was really good and the food was delicious. One thing to note is you order first, pay then you will be seated. Check the hours as they close in the middle of the day. They don't take reservations just FYI as of this post. There is a decent amount of street parking.
The laksa here is phenomenal! Great spice and flavor!! The broth really warms up your soul, would be perfect on a cool day : We had the Satay as well with their peanut sauce, very delicious! The owners are very friendly as well!Food: 5/5
Lovely little restaurant along Kingsway in Vancouver. The staff appears to be the owners too were friendly and very attentive. I had the Laksa and calamansi juice. For a restaurant the prices were pretty good, with great food presentation. Looks like it’s a popular eatery, as of this posting they are opening another branch in Burnaby. Yum!
This small place is super casual and clean. The laksa was loaded with noodles and very flavourful. The Tuesday special was assam fish with okra and eggplants with the right hint of spiciness. Roti was crispy and perfect. I also enjoyed the Kaya puffs and the lychee jellies it wasn’t too sweet.
It was our first time here and I’m glad we tried it! It’s a small restaurant but luckily we didn’t wait too long. The laksa was absolutely delicious, it was on the spicier end which I loved, it had all the toppings you could ever want. It’s an family owned and operated and very authentic. Can’t wait to visit again.
Food was delicious and not greasy . Even the portions and pricing was fair and reasonable . We tried Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak, Otak-otak, satay and Chwee kueh. Owners were so attentive, friendly and helpful. We will be back to try their other dishes. We even brought home a jar of Sambal for only $12.
Chances are, you'll meet the owner and feel like you're dining in their home with them. Service and atmosphere are top-notch. Hainan chicken rice delicious. I'm limiting carb intake but found myself inhaling every last grain of rice as it was so tasty. Mee siam another winner with generous portion of shrimp and authentic Singaporean curry on vermicelli.
