Well what can I say? Appetizing seafood chowder and sirloin steak that melts in your mouth certainly met my expectations of this incredible dining experience yielded by a very friendly and welcoming staff especially the owners who ensured I was taken care of. For a busy night I was served relatively quick and my steak was cooked exactly as I had desired. This is one of the few establishments that actually cooks steak medium rare so that is a major plus. I have never felt so welcomed despite not being from this area. Definitely looking forward to future visits to this amazing establishment. Thank you so much.
Sheridan's Lodge was a pleasant surprise for us. We were looking for a restaurant halfway between our home and our closest friends. This warm quaint restaurant and pub was perfect. The authentic rustic building sits alongside a charming lake snow-covered for our visit offers more space inside then expected. It is clear at first look it is a popular place with a large old fashioned bar, 3 dining areas with almost every seat treated to a picturesque view thanks to oversized windows from one end to the other of 2 of the dining rooms. The 3rd dining area features pub style tables. The decor seems original cozy and fun. The menu is well designed with a variety of comfort foods and bar favorites. Specials on this February Saturday included my choice, an 8 oz sirloin with shrimp served with fresh perfectly cooked carrots and green beans, mashed potatoes and salad. My companions had salmon w rice and vegetables, a Tuscan chicken dish, and fish and chips. All of the meals were well prepared and enjoyed thoroughly. The bar offered a list of special cocktails wines and dozens of worthy beers on tap, in addition to a long list of bottled beers. We did not try the deserts but were tempted by the offerings. Despite the cold weather and the spectre of covid the restaurant was full with reservations needed. It did not seem uncomfortably crowded and families and groups moved in ind out without problem. Some masked some not hopefully vaccinated all seemed to be having a good time. Parking was ample with a couple of lots across the road handling the weekend dinner crowd needs. It looks like outdoor seating is available during the warm weather. All in all we were impressed with the service, value, and quality of our first dinner at Sheridan's Lodge. We will be coming back. If you are looking for someplace for a great meal or a new favorite place stop in and try this place you will be glad you did.
A nice lakeside restaurant. Good food, good service and nice wine and beer selections. There's a large indoor bar area and indoor seating with lake views. There's also an outdoor patio and a larger outdoor area with tables under umbrellas. There's lots of parking available too and a handicap ramp for easy access to the restaurant. Overall it's a great spot for lunch dinner or drinks with friends and it's worth a visit.
First time going here despite being 10 minutes away and hearing rave reviews. Food was excellent. I had the traditional fried calamari which was very good and seasoned perfectly. The Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly medium rare with great flavor. The baked potato was kind of lack luster even for a potato, but it was fine. Overall plenty of food and fair prices despite rising food costs. My buddy had the fish and chips which looked good and his wife had the pot pie which was huge and looked very good. We were stuffed and did not have dessert.
This is a great part of our community, a place where you can get a great meal, excellent cocktail and are as if among friends or family. The team are always caring and happy to accommodate. Chicken pot pie is and always is the best!! Cocktails are awesome and during covid they made the takeout extraordinary and simple.Food: 4/5
You would be hard pressed to find a decent restaurant in Sussex County, NJ. Sheridan's is no exception. Two of us went in for appetizers and drinks this Saturday evening. The best part of the meal was the free bar pretzels you get when you sit down. After placing our order it was 30 minutes before food arrived. On our order were Nachos with Chicken and Shrimp Quesadilla. Perhaps ordering Mexican inspired food at a non-Mexican restaurant was not the best idea. The Nachos were topped with foul smelling chicken that was extremely dry and flavorless. I immediately sent it back for fear of getting sick. The shrimp quesadilla was so soggy it could only be eaten with a knife and fork. Who eats finger food with a knife &:fork? Such a shame for a place that once was one of those decent, hard pressed to find places.
The cheeseburger was awesome. The calamari was good also, I had gotten Bacon wrapped scallops also wich were good but the bacon was too charred around the scallops , needs to be a little softer.Food: 5/5
Overall, my waiter was awesome sauce! Loved the location and the view. Bar serviced amazing drink % love this place Food: 5/5
Excellent place for wings and burgers. Nice specials as well. Always excellent drinks. Kids friendly and stuff is accomodating.
Nice place with good lake view. It’s a good place to hangout after work for drinks and appetizers. I have been there thrice and was never disappointed so far. the wings seemed a little dry to me, but the other like nachoes, fried calamari, chicken entrees are good.
