What a hidden gem of a museum.. super helpful lady on the desk & English audio device to help with translation. Lots to see & also interact with… fantastic place & glad I discovered it. Especially nice as the local area was heavily involved with the fighting of the 101st & German forces…Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
This is by far the best war museum in the Netherlands. Get up close to the planes, autos and several display. The only minus point is the audio is at this time only in Dutch. Its a small museum with four buildings and growing. Come visit them you wont be disappointed. For 11 euros it's a bargain compared to other museums.
Very well organised exhibition, audioguide included, free parking nearby.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely museum, a very informative audio tour that takes you round each exhibit and some great exhibitions to see.
Fantastic tour and Rob our guide was superb with his team of drivers definately worth a visit
Great museum, nicely arranged. The biggest surprise is the last section where there is a big collection of old communication equipment using the old tube technology and still working and from different origins: German, USSR, American, British... Amazing experience.
Excellent museum with many unique artifacts from WWII. I have been to many war museums all over the world and this museum's collection possess many items I had never seen before. TIP: the parking lot is the area right off off the main road Sonseweg, you walk the rest of the way. The day we visited, we drove right up to the front door but something didn't "feel" right so I asked. There was a special event going on so I assume the gate we drove through should have been closed but wasn't. Regardless as soon as you turn off Sonseweg into what appears to be a restaurant's parking lot, you are in the parking lot, park. Go around behind the restaurant, past the art gallery and you will see the museum on your right near a bridge.
Fantastic museum! If you like motorized equipment like jeeps, tanks, trucks, motorcycles and planes; you will love this museum. They even have a running driving Russian tank.
Definitely worth the visit especially during the 'Wings & Wheels' event. And the museum has a very nice collection of vehicles and airplanes.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
