Shakou Libertyville

Make a reservation. Despite the fairly large seating area, they are booked up. Food was excellent,fresh and elegant. They will not accommodat changes to menu items. Upscale, price $$$$ (out of 5)but in line with similar sushi restaurants, seating is tight. Service good but not excellent.

The Shakou restaurant in Libertyville is undeniably a hot spot. So many items to choose from off of the menu that you will want to try all of it! They have a nice upstairs and downstairs seating area with great decor. If you love your sushi, then come here! Shakou is a nice touch to have in downtown Libertyville.

Been here multiple times. Food was always amazing! Really enjoy the seafood Miso soup, the Volcano roll, and Spicy tuna roll. Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is Great!

Come here at least once a week, both bartenders at the main bar are phenomenal! Fast and friendly, and have great advice if new to sushi!! Prices are super cheap for the quality of the fish.

Bringing some big city vibes to the suburbs. No Michelin rating here but good enough to make you feel hip. Consider skipping the table and grab a sofa nook upstairs with a small group.
