Community Action Partnership of Lake County is one of 1,000 agencies across the United States established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty. As part of a national network, the agencies work to strengthen, promote and represent the voice of the more than 34.5 million people who are living in poverty.
Community Action Partnership of Lake County's mission is to alleviate poverty, its causes and consequences by linking the resources that will lead to individual and family self-sufficiency. The result is a stronger sense of self worth and dignity for both the individual and families of the community. CAPLC believes that giving everyone an opportunity to pursue the American Dream through hard work is a community responsibility.
