Shakey Lakes Park

While the park is quite beautiful, the 25 dollar a night prices are a lie. When we arrived at the park there was a sign posted that said that you are only allowed to book on line. Booking online adds a ten dollar non-refundable fee to your site and if you don't have a seasonal pass there is also a five dollar vehicle fee. We were okay paying that even if slightly upset about the price. I went oline to check out my total said 40 dollars for my site but when I got my e-receipt it thanked me for my 80 dollar purchase and charged me for a second vehicle and a different second site then the one we were staying at. My original review was one star because of the booking fiasco, however the park has contacted me and refunded me for the second site. They were very courteous and understanding. Their customer service does deserve 5 stars.

Nice camp ground with a beach, volleyball court, and large play area. Very nice, bugs were very minimal, almost no need bug spray at all times of night.

Its busy but most people respectable, decent bathrooms/showers and a nice beach with a boat launch nearby. Very well priced but get reservations in early.

This is a great place to go for a weekend trip or just a day. clean park, facilities and plenty of activities.

Great fair in Menonminee Michigan. They will be so blessed to have their own fairgrounds. Keep going, you can do it!

Lovely beach, my kids had so much fun swimming. We camped in the rustic sites, ended up with a site with very little shade. All sites are close together with very little privacy. If you like a more wooded and rustic camping experience, this is not your place. But it is a nice, clean campground with a good beach

Water is super clean and warm. Spent the afternoon here soaking up the sun on the sandy beach :

Water was warm but not much of a swim area for the amount of.people swimming. The beach is at a 45 degree angle, so it hard to even sit on a picnic table.Lots of cigarette butts and apparently they allow smoking on the beach so you get to smell cigarette smoke the whole time. Very disappointing after all the hype, probably won't be back.
