When me and my partner saw the outside of this place we did not expect to walk in to such a fine dinning experience! The server & chef were exceptionally attentive and kind, the decor was an incredible fusion of American diner and East Asian, and don’t even get me started on the food! This was the most delicious meal we have had since moving to Toronto and is now at the top of our list for recommendations to our friends and family! I also would love to point out that it’s very rare to find a fine dining restaurant that feels truly LGBTQ+ inclusive. My partner is trans and we felt accepted in this space from the moment we walked in. This restaurant will not disappoint!
Killer atmosphere, best retro diner vibe in Toronto. The servers were all fantastic, every single person working there helped us with so much warmth and friendliness. AND THE FOOODDDDD, added to my fave list for Toronto immediatelyFood: 5/5
This place like it’s brother and sister restaurants See Seoul Shakers right down the street is always a experience for all the senses. The interior is eclecticly brilliant and the layout with the semi open kitchen in the middle is great, you feel connected to the entire restaurant in any seat. We had the oysters, that come dressed by the chef. They were great. Roast beef sandwich was saucy af and delicious. Stand out was prolly the Yukkae on the nori sourdough, *chefs kiss*. Need to come back and try more dishes. Service was very helpful, it was a slower night but my water glass was never empty.
I love this restaurant / cocktail bar! Everything about it is so on point and the aesthetic is so refreshing to other resto-bar spots in the area. I discovered this place via social media and was surprised I had passed it so many times since it opened some time ago near its sister property Seoul Shakers. The swim up bar seating and layout makes guests feel incorporated into the liveliness of the cooking and cocktaiI making. The food is shareable and sooo tasty we had oysters, cucumber salad, nicoise salad and the Beef and scallop tartare on Ba Noi Bakery Nori sourdough and will be back to eat and drink our way down the rest of the menu. Plus the cocktails were tasty and clever some including pop rocks which was a pleasant blast from the past. The staff were fantastic we were served by Digby who provided impeccable service and we felt very well taken care of. This may be my new favorite spot on Bloor and I am stoked to be back for special evenings.
Hi tea cocktail was really nice! Took forever to get my drink though.Food: 5/5
The food is really unique here and worth the steeper price. I really recommend the clam fries! The service was also friendly!!!
Ordered: Mandu and Roast beef sandwich to share Cost: $38 The vibe of the restaurant was quite nice. Use the side door to not embarrass yourself with the locked front door. The cost and portions are a bit “fine dining” for us e.g. 4 dumplings for $16 is a bit out of our norm but boy we’re those dumplings TASTY and the sauce was quite nice. The cilantro salad was a new one for me, ate it just to eat it but it wasn’t bad. Was very disappointed to hear they got ride of the cheesesteak sand which, which doesn’t make sense considering that’s what everyone was raving about in the reviews. It was the only reason I chose to go here but we found tasty alternatives. The roast beef sandwich was good but it needed sauce we said no wasabi or horseradish and took out the onions. we discovered it tasted AMAZING with the sauce from the dumplings. I’d definitely recommend getting the two and dipping the sandwhich in that sauce. Made it taste way better, from a 7 to a 9/10
An amazing tasting menu!!! We found ourselves here while waiting for a table at Sugo. Decided to skip Sugo after we tasted the Soy Bean Hummus. Service was great and the ambience was very charming. A few more vegetarian options would be awesome - but what we tried was top notch. Will be back!
Had an amazing time here sharing plates and drinks with friends! The Oeuf a la Onigiri was so delicious. Diner style vibes but the menu is Food: 5/5
This places is a hidden gem. I ate here with some friends last Friday night after stumbling upon in randomly. It's decorated like a 50s diner inside, but the food is Asian fusion ish. We ordered the yukkae, gabli mandu, okonomi-latkes, liver & onion pate, pork skewers, Japanese curry pie, and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious. They did not miss. It was very reasonably priced for the quality as well. Highly recommend Shaker's Club before everyone finds out about this place.
