Absolutely phenomenal food! We stopped in for breakfast. We both enjoyed their menu because you had the opportunity to customize a breakfast or pick from their other incredible and delicious options. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
Great food and great vibes. Found this place by way of google reviews. Came for the vegan options. Both our dishes were great. On this visit the service was not the best. Our server was kind and sweet but our food and bill did take quite a while.
Stopped by on a Monday morning in September. Restaurant is very poorly marked so it is not easy to recognize from the street nor very inviting. Upon entry, sign says seat yourself which we did but found it to be drafty and cold since the windows were open in the front and door open in the back. Service was also a bit cold but our server warmed up by the time we finished. The delicious breakfast is the only reason to stop by here because they are filling and delicious. We ordered the Brain Eggs, bacon on french toast which was quite tasty - french toast was light and delicious. Also ordered the Farmer 3 egg Omelette which was served with their Shaka pan-fried potatoes which was also delicious and filling. Also ordered a Cappuccino which was also very good. If you can get past the hole in the wall look from the outside and the less than inviting atmosphere inside, you'll discover some very unique and delicious breakfast meals.
Took my brother-in-law to a late breakfast. Staff was super friendly. There are two sections there. One side has wait staff and the other takes your order at the counter. Some of the best corn beef hash around! Pancakes were huge! Definitely a must stop if your looking for breakfast in Tacoma. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.
Came here to visit from out of town and this was the first place that was recommended. It was a little crowded but it wasn’t too bad of a wait to get a table. You do have to order your food at the counter which took us a bit to figure out, lol and grab your own drinks. I do like this location because it teaches you to clean up after yourselves but I see that not all customers got the memo. I do think the food tasted good, but I’m not sure if I would pay like $16 for a California veggie hash…
Never been here before today. My mom and I wanted a good bite to eat and that's what we got. I had a bloody Mary which was ok, I've had better. I think my mom got some sort of cappuccino with shots of Carmel added, she enjoyed it. I ordered just a bagel and a side of bacon. My bagel was a little over toasted but still hoo and the bacon I asked that it not be burnt like I had seen when I walked in. The was made to my liking. My mom enjoyed enjoyed French toast. She said she didn't even need any syrup, due to the French toast being sweet enough. Her scrambled eggs were a little cold. Her huge piece of ham she did enjoy as well. Very good customer service. Lovely environment clean place. I'll definitely be going back
When you wake and think, "Eclectic hash is what I need!" head to Shakabrah. This is the kind of place that other places who are trying to be hip and trendy try to copy but can't. From its location to its decorations to the staff to the menu this place is top drawer original tasty and a wonderful vibe.
Food was good. Glad they had a little different in them for breakfast food. Super busy. Luckily it was just the two of us so we got bar area seating. It took a while to be waited on and to receive food. Portion was huge! Exceeded my expectations.Food: 5/5
cashier was rude, my order sat for 10 min before she gave it to me. she tossed my meal from two feat away on the bench where I was waiting. when I got home it was all mushed together and cold and she did not include my toast. Half of the potatoes where under cooked and inedible. This was my first time back in 10 years as a patron, I live 5 short blocks away and appreciate convenience, but previously stopped eating here after getting food poisoning from improperly cooked sausage 3 times in a row.
Been here twice, food is aight. Service is okay. Other breakfast places around the area do it better. Today I got the Cesar breakfast sandwich which contains eggs, spinach tomatoes, avocados & I added turkey bacon & grilled onions. My brother got the blueberry pancakes and an omelette. He said the potatoes were mid. As a Texan I appreciate that they have Tapatio.
