Shahi Palace Restaurant

First of all I would like to say I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. least to say that this place is horrible. First of all,I had ordered chicken balti LIKE every other time I do and every single time I receive it half full. For the amount that they charge btw price is not fix it’s absurd! last time I got chicken balti from here they put RED chicken in my gravy probably because they didn’t want to make it properly and used leftover from other things when it’s usually white chicken. Regardless of the amount of times we buy from there,being desi or not,they have no sort of respect for their clients and don’t know how much money they could be making if they did things right. My food is always half empty or never properly made. Don’t come here if you’re spending money and want to have fresh food and enough quantity. Not to mention they ask if I want to tip when they can’t even deliver a decent customer service. Cashier is very rude and they talk about everyone that comes to dine in or take out.

I like trying new restaurants with different foods from different nations. This weekend, we tried this Pakistani restaurant. It came recommended by a local, who frequents this place. I guess everyone's tastes are different.nWe started with two huge vegetable samosas. They were crunchy on the outside and filled with loads of tiny pieces of potato and green peas. A tamarind and mint sauces were provided for dipping.nThen we ordered our main dishes. We thought we would have some leftovers, so we ordered three dishes: a chicken sizzler, a beef seekh kebab and chicken balti. It came with a choice of rice or Naan. We chose the Naan.nThe chicken sizzler was dry and too salty for me. I used the sauces for the samosas to moisten the chicken.nThe beef seekah kebabs were moist and very nicely spiced. It was served with a small green salad. The chicken balti was delicious but very small for the price.nGood thing we ordered 3 mains for 2 people because the portions are small and two would not have been enough.nThis restaurant deserves another try.nStay posted.

Have been ordering chicken rolls for years here. Cannot beat the price and the taste. So good. Love that they put actual hot peppers in the roll instead of drier spices or sauces.nI love me some spicy food.nSamosas are very good as well.

I don't even know why i bothered buying food from here. I was walking by and saw someone eating roll, so i ordered a beef and a chicken roll and asked them to make it spicy. And guess what, instead of adding spicy sauce they added thigh green chillis. Look at the pic. Almost choked on it. I mean who does that.

Delicious Indian restaurant in the west island. The chicken rolls are to die for . We had butter chicken and shrimp bryiani, garlic naan and one chicken roll
