Make an appointment! Make an appointment! Make an appointment! If you do not want to expect more than 60 mins wait, please make an appointment before you go. It took around 15mins for me to get all things done when I made reservation in advance.
It says close at 5 pm, but the worker closed at 10 to 5 pm. To respond to your comment: I would recommend changing your business hours to reflect the time you actually close the doors and avoid any future misunderstandings with your customers. Reading other reviews the doors are locked long before closing time. There is nothing worse than fighting traffic after a long day of work to find the doors are closed early. One would wonder how much better this place could be if management put the same amount of effort into daily operations as they do defending themselves online.
I had a very quick and efficient visit there today, and was in and out in under 15 minutes. This was a much smoother process than in my past visits, when I always had to wait an hour or more in an overcrowded room. But you can predict the quality of your experience based on whether or not you have an appointment. I saw a pretty fierce line up people outside, mostly frustrated and wondering whether they will ever be served. Those without an appointment are let in very infrequently, so they end up waiting and seeing many people with an appointment go in before they do, which must be frustrating fot them. I felt their pain. There is a sign on the door saying that if you do not have an appointment, you are not guaranteed to be served. Therefore, it's key to have an appointment before visiting this site. Booking an appointment online is super quick as well, so it's definitely worth your time. Please do this! I think the Service Ontario website ought to do a better job making people aware of this appointment system change but, otherwise, it's a better system than was the case before.
They need to understand that they are working for People. They have to treat people nicely. I felt staff members are rude. For you information they cut the line around 4 o’clock to 4:15. They keep repeating same thing wait outside. They don’t listen what you are asking. And most importantly they can’t do certain things like renewal of HEALTH-CARD if you are on WORK PERMIT previously. I would say avoid this location if you can. I visited 2 times in 2 days and still task not done.
All staffers were very nice and efficient. I really appreciate their help. Excellent service! Strongly suggest making an appointment online in advance. For walk-in, have to wait outside on the left of the entrance and waiting time can be long. It's those with appointment being served first. A suggestion, it would help to have more obvious signage on the door telling walk-in and those with appointment where to line up ie. LEFT: walk-in, RIGHT: with appointment.
Make an appointment that really helped The service that I got the last few times I've been has really been exemplary with very friendly people. Very willing to help. The criticism that I have is that it's really difficult to hear what they're saying with the communication setup that they have. They're still doing a lot of COVID-19 masking and plastic screening and they have an electronic system so that they can hurt be heard better but it does kind of get muffled sometimes.
My job got done smooth and fast. They are organised. Thank you
Went here to register and plate a used car that I bought recently. I did book an online appointment, reviewed and gathered all the necessary docs, showed up 20 minutes earlier. There was a line outside due to limited space here, however, staff periodically come out call for folks with appointment. If there are any no shows, they take in the appointments from next slot, so I ended up going in 15 minutes early. Once inside, while waiting for next available window, one of the staff checks and make sure you have the necessary documantation for the service you came for. I was in and out in 10 minutes with my new title and llicense plate. Kudos to the staff for well co-ordinated service.
My partner went in to change their gender marker on both their health card and drivers license. We checked online ahead of time and it says they provide this service and that they did not need any paperwork in order to process the change to an x gender marker. However, when my partner got there they told them at first they needed documentation my partner corrected them based on the info on their site then they were sent over to the desk to do it and then the manger comes out and said that they needed supporting documentation and that they needed to call head office to both confirm that they’re allowed to do it and how to do it. My partner again had to educate them on their policies that are clearly stated on their website, and they argued back that that’s just what the website says. What does that even mean??? Policies aren’t different office to office. If you advertise that you can change information on your DL and your health card at this location then your staff should be trained to be able to do so. This was at no fault of the worker processing the change but the manager for not providing proper training to staff and for giving my partner a hard time. The manager also continued to misgender my partner after being told that they do not want to be addressed as she. Unacceptable for a government office in Toronto. Do better. UPDATE: I’ve looked through your other reviews and I’ve seen how you like to deny ever doing anything wrong anytime you reply. Even after what they wanted was clarified you had to call head office to figure out how to do it. My partner multiple times corrected the manager asking that they not call them ma’am and they continued to do it so your claim that you don’t use any pronouns does not apply. Also, i will clarify once again, this is not a reflection of the staff but on the manager which I already stated. Instead of denying and getting defensive, take accountability and apologize. Extremely unprofessional.
worker just made me complete a form identical to the one i had already brought filled out because "she works here", all the headings are literally the same i can verify because now im at the back of the line and have to wait even longer for my turn. i can see why the line up is so long here Edit: She absolutely used those words, and she was rude. She told me the form was just wrong with no further explanation. This was not the first time I had presented these forms to a Service Ontario worker because I was missing documentation the first time so I knew these forms were correct. I did not put up a fight and filled the form out a second time, copying exactly what I had pre-printed. The reply to my review is shockingly dishonest.
