Disclaimer: What I’m about to say might offend some people—please forgive my straightforwardness.nnVisiting this branch was undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. As a representative of Canada, public servants should embody professionalism and respect. Their every action reflects not just their branch but the country as a whole. Unfortunately, the staff at this Service Ontario location left me utterly shocked.nnBefore coming here, I noticed the Google reviews were abysmally low, and I was genuinely curious as to why. Now I understand—the rating is generous. Frankly, it’s a miracle it’s even that high.nnI don’t know if this branch’s staffing policies are the result of efforts to prioritize employment opportunities for minorities or underrepresented groups, which, to be clear, is commendable in theory. However, the service here made me feel like they had simply gathered a group of people off the street—specifically, individuals whose outfits, demeanor, and overall attitudes were more fitting for… other circumstances.nnOne particular interaction stood out: a Black staff member at the counter asked me what service I needed. I answered, and due to a slight accent, a word may have come across unclear. Instead of seeking clarification, she openly interrupted and turned to her colleague at the next counter to laugh at and mock me.nnHave you conducted any sort of professional training for your employees? With unemployment rates what they are, I’m amazed such individuals not only secured government jobs but have managed to keep them. I suppose government work truly is a secure career path.nnMy only wish is that the families of these employees have the pleasure of experiencing the same “service” I endured. Perhaps then they’d understand the value of empathy, professionalism, and common decency.

High efficiency in this centre. I arrived 10 minutes before they open. Get a waiting number at 9am& 15 person in front of us. Around 9:10 just called & finished within 5 mins for driving licence & health card renewed including pictures taken.

I went there for my health card updation and it was done within 15 minutes. The lady was very polite. There was little line up but they were provide quick service.

Took my ticket slip, outside. Was, #90. The number count was at #79. Waited, about 30min, Outside. Security guy wouldn't let people stay inside the building even if you were 1 next for, service... Was, pleasant and nice staff.. moderate, fast speed to confirm registration for renewal HC...took only 10mins to complete and depart!!

The Ontario Auditor General needs to do a value for money audit on this location.nnThe great thing about this location is the ticket system where you get a number so you don’t have to stay in a formed line, but just wait until your number is called. Despite this orderly process, there is always a long long line for this location.nnMore than once I have left this location to go the centre at Kennedy and Hwy 7 to get what I needed done.nnI thought today was ridiculous, there was a line around the corner of the plaza this morning before it opened. When I returned around 1:20 pm, I got ticket #56 and they were serving ticket #11! Assuming they started at #1 at 9am, it is ridiculous to be at ticket #11 at 1:20 pm. A couple had been waiting for two hours and gave their ticket to someone else and went to the Stouffville location. Another one followed. At least 3 other parties including myself that had only arrived in the last 10 min all headed to the Kennedy location and finished our business in an hour.
