Terrible Experience – Do Not Submit Your Passport Application Here!nnWe were told in-person that it would take 10 business days to process our passport application. However, over 21 days have passed, and we still have not received the passport. When we returned to inquire about the delay, we were met with immediate disrespect, and our concerns were completely dismissed. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service made an already frustrating situation even worse. Avoid this place if you value your time and respect.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would!!! Even though the actual submitting of passport application was easy, the actual passports never got processed in the 20 business days. Such disappointment with Service Canada suggesting people book appointment to get it done in standard time which is 20 business days plus mailing time. After waiting over that 20 business days, I ended up having to get the files transferred to Scarborough passport office to get express service as our travel date was within 5 business days. Do not ever submit your passport applications here. Go to the Whitby passport office and just stand in line. I thought I could avoid standing in line at Whitby passport office by booking an appt here at midtown, but ended up standing in line at Scarborough to deal with transferring my files, and then go back 3 days later and stand in line again to pick up the passport. It was a horrendous experience.

The agents are nice and the service was fast. But the Power of Attorney documents I gave them never wound up being processed. I found this out the hard way a few months later. They had “no record” of the submission, nor my visit. So now I have to go back and hope my resubmitted documents do not mysteriously “vaporize “ in the system. They don’t give receipts nor reference numbers, so you can’t prove you already submitted documents.

I went this morning 12/11//2023. I was the second person in line to do new passports for my son and I as well as update our status. Location: great ….parking ample!nOpened on time and the office was clean and welcoming.nThe agent I got…didn’t introduce herself I guess she didn’t need to. Not sure if something had upset her before…It felt like we were an interruption to her job.nnRegardless,nnEfficiency: We started around 8:40 and was out there by 9:08.nnEffectiveness: the agent said we will receive the passports by mid January. She couldn’t update our status so we have to fill out paperwork and the relevant office will respond.nnIt was overall successful! I would recommend the office to anyone doing business…
