DriveTest Centre

I recently went to DriveTest at 200 John St W in Oshawa, and overall it was a very good experience. The location was easy to find and the building was clean and organized. From the moment I walked in, everything felt professional and well managed. The staff were polite, patient, and helpful, and that made me feel more relaxed during the process. I was there to take my G1 test, and I was a little nervous at first, but the employees explained things clearly and kept the process smooth and fair. The waiting time was reasonable, the instructions were easy to follow, and I really felt that the environment was welcoming and supportive.nnWhen it was my turn, everything went step by step in an organized way, and I was so happy when I passed my G1 test. It was a big achievement for me, and I am very thankful to this DriveTest center for making the process clear and professional. The only issue I had was with the photo; the quality of the picture was not very good, and it could definitely be improved. Still, I left the place proud, happy, and satisfied with my result.

I had a truly fabulous experience at this DriveTest centre today! My examiner, Karl, was on time and from the very first moment, he set such a positive and friendly tone. I immediately felt his great energy as soon as he stepped into my car. He was patient, kind, and understanding — even noticing that I was a little nervous and taking the time to calm me down. That support made such a big difference during the test.nnAt the end, after letting me know I had passed, Karl didn’t just stop there. He went above and beyond by sharing incredibly helpful tips and tricks for highway driving, which was so valuable and made my day even better! It’s experiences like this that remind me there really are examiners who care about supporting drivers and helping them succeed, and Karl is absolutely one of them.nnI’m extremely grateful and feel like I can finally breathe again! I also want to highlight the lady at the counter who issued my licence afterwards — she was super helpful, efficient, and kind, which wrapped up the whole experience perfectly.nnI want to sincerely thank the entire DriveTest centre team for their professionalism, positivity, and efficiency. This was such a smooth and uplifting experience, and I appreciate the hard work you all do to keep things running so well. Thank you!

This is my first time getting discouraged 100% this waynI did my Full G I follow all the requirements and the instructor doesn’t have any tangible reason for failing me. It is giving when someone want to intentionally failed you. He has nothing against me throughout the Highway test. No complain at all! But when we get back to the center he said I failed. I asked what is the reason for the failure he said I was over speeding just one min away to the drive test center and I told him I have my speed reading on my dashboard screen. And I wasn’t over speeding I was btw 50 and 55 in the street and the man said he was looking at my dash board screen from the passenger screen too. Then immediately I know this man just wanted to fail me. Then I stop questioning him and make a report against him straightway and I am hoping they hold this up and do something about it. Because this is unfair!!!!!!! Very unfair!!! I came to do Full G u didn’t failed me for the highway you were making decision for G2 that I was over 50 kilometers. And it is a big lie.nPlease this center should do better and I won’t ever let this go until something is done about it. Because I am very sure of my drivingnAnd a lot of people have been talking bad about this center but I choose to do it here because I believe in myself, because I also got my G2 here. I have no bad driving history all my life but unfortunately I met someone who just wanted to failed me intentionally without no tangible reason!!

I came here at 8:30 am for my G test, it was schedule for 9:00am when the examiner came to me he asked for my driver license and unfortunate i didn’t have it with me bc i gave it to my partner and they had left, so i told them and they said they will come back in a few mins and check again or someone else is going to get me.nn9:20 hits nobody has came, at this point i got my driver license back so i sat and waited, 9:50 hits he comes back n says has someone came to you yet n i said no, he said ok im gonna go on my break n someone will get you, if not ill come get you. And i waited.nnHe came back and said nobody came yet n i said no n he said next one who comes back will get you and i said ok, someone who’s name i didn’t catch but starts with an M was my examiner, he was very professional and clear with his instructions, then when we came back he told me I passed and explained some things for me to work on and instructed me to go inside n wait in the lobby and left.nnI went inside and did what he asked, waited for my ticket to be called and then the lady at the counter was super nice, and that was it! Very quick and straight forwardnnI am not sure why everyone in the reviews had a bad experience maybe it was the examiner but who knows? Good luck everyone and remember everyone has a different experience. Don’t go into the test feeling some type of way bc of someone’s negative review! All people who came in with me passed!!

I just passed my G1 here today. The man at the payment counter was so nice I wished I got his name. But the woman at the examiner room was not so welcoming, congratulated everyone else but not me. Still I said thank you and have a good day. She has black hair with blue and green highlights . I was the only Asian in that room and I felt disrespected. If you don’t like your job maybe time to find another one where you’re not dealing with the public .
