The drinks are great and the pork belly was quite tasty. The place looks kind of sketchy from the outside, but the inside is actually real nice. The person tending to us was very nice and personable. Definitely worth checking out for something a bit different from the usual bar/pub.
Absolute fun vibes. Something along the lines of casual old school diner meets dimly lit neon lights and plants. Lively yet comfortable ambiance, great staff, good food and drinks. Ideal spot for small groups.
Ended up going here because we were in the area and really needed a place to grab a bite. So happy we stopped in, the food was absolutely incredible. A highlight was definitely the Phat fries, although everything we ate had so much flavour and personality. The Roast Kimchi Chop Cheese was essentially a transformed Big Mac which was good, and the Hwe Dup Bap was a seafood salad that was satisfying and spicy. The drinks were really great too. All in all 5/5 experience and menu
This place is… something! Great service, polite and careful, but never intrusive or overwhelming aka, no silly questions about our “first few bites” lol. Very interesting food options, I liked everything we ordered but the SS wings were especially good ok ok the buns were great too, I can’t lie!. Drinks are reasonably priced and the general atmosphere is so cosy and enjoyable!
Grungy on the outside, gorgeous on the inside. Finally got a chance to visit this stop on my cocktail bars of Toronto list. Stephanie at the bar was a great host, and made some truly delicious drinks both on and off the menu. I'll need to come back with a larger group to order everything else on the menu have to try the pork belly, but the pear salad and empanadas were just the right amount of food and not too greasy indulgence to go with the drinks. Lots of space inside and out with two patios, with a lot of small tables for two, and a bar they're seating at now. Will be back after my next art crawl.
This place definitely looks sketchy from the outside. But the vibe is super fun, easygoing, moody. Similar to Leemo Han’s other places Kensington’s Cold Tea was one of my favourite spots. It’s full of neon, kitchsy, fun artifacts. Apologies for the food pics, they’d dimmed the lights by the time the food arrived. I came for the star of the show, the chopped cheese and it didn’t disappoint. Super soft buns that you have to pull apart. Full of super flavourful beef and kimchi and this awesome sauce kinda like a Mac sauce. It’s like an awesome, slightly upscale, Korean Big Mac. I love it. The Phat fries were a nice side. The place was super busy, but it just contributed to the vibe of the place. Great music too.
A great bar with great staff. Had a good night with my friends . Food was good, at one point it kind of taste similar? Overall had a good experience. Highly recommend getting the chopped cheese sliders and wings!!
Don't let the restaurant's exterior fool you, this is a hidden gem. We were lucky to get the sofa seats at the front of the restaurant although the table was much smaller. We ordered the Phat Fries and their Roasted Kimchi Chopped Cheese biggie - 4 buns. The fries were well seasoned and crisp. But oh my - those potato buns on the chopped cheese!! The softest and fluffiest little dinner rolls I've ever put in my mouth. I could eat a whole tray of just the bread. The roasted kimchi gave a nice crunch and acidity to help cut the fatty beef and cheese. The restaurant itself was small and there were tons of people coming in after we were seated and got waitlisted. Overall a very delicious dinner and great vibe. Excellent place to take your significant other or a small 4 group of friends.
Seoul Shakers is a cool vibrant asian fusion highly Korean influenced bar with a dimly lit grungy atmosphere inside. It's a bit cozywith a long bar on one side and booths on the other with single stools and tables lining the wall on the other side. At the back there is a larger room with tables that groups can sit at. The kitchen is here too and the open plan where you can see them prepping the food looks cool. The pork belly steam saam was really delicious. The pork is thick cut and tender - many different flavours happening here with pickled veg, kimchi and fermented soy bean paste. Another highlight was the hwe dup bap - kind of best described as a Korean poke bowl. Really flavourful with fresh red tuna, scallops, Tobiko, mixed vegetables and a chili sauce for some slight kick. The phat fries with roasted kimchi and garlic mayonhit the spot as well! Super filling meal and it wasn't overly expensive either.
Super cute place! Delicious food, great selection of cocktails, fast service. We ordered quesadillas, Hwe Dup Bap - theres purple rice, veggies, tuna, scallops. And chorizo quesadillas our favourite SS wings. Yum!
