We just finished eating lunch on Christmas eve. Amazing food. We got two different types of tacos, a soup dish, steak, and fries. We got two different types of wings to go as well. Would recommend asking what the specials are, as they are very honest. Good service. Made sure everything was cooked to our satisfaction. Great with kids as well. Vegetarian options: They have options for Shrimp, and every meal is customisable. Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats, and highchairs for babies. And they love to play with them. Parking: It is in a strip mall.
I have heard a lot about this place serving zabiha halal Mexican food. Parking lot is small and if you go during busy time it’s very hard to find parking. With an excitement, I ordered vegetables enchiladas and beef burritos. I had eaten some delicious enchiladas but this was not it. Too soggy and just felt there was no taste. Beef had really real smell with too much fat in it. I would not recommend this place. Server was nice and speedy service too.
Great halal restaurant for trying out Mexican food. Defined recommend. I recommend trying their steak tacos this were are favorite. We also their enchiladas and the meat we got their chicken. Those were delicous. For the tacos get their onion and cilantro instead of lettuce and tomatoes. Flavoring here was good. Rice and beans were a good filler. Their chips and salsa we’re good too. Their tamale were good to try if you haven’t ever had one. Customer service here were nice. 5/5 recommend
Probably the first time I’m leaving a negative review, but to start this is my personal experience and preference. To begin, the service was nice and friendly, starting us off with chips that were a bit stale and salsa. Coming from Chicago, the restaurant had great reviews, especially when it’s halal. Following this, we ordered the Chimichanga with steak, Taco Dinner with ground beef and elote. The elote was nice, nothing too different than what you would find in other stores. To preface this, to each their own… but the taco dinner, with corn tortilla was very unpleasant to eat, very dry, came with a side of rice and beans, but didn’t taste good at all. Couldn’t finish it because for some reason the ground beef tasted horrible. Then came the Chimichanga, the steak was indeed juicy and good, average amount of cheese, but once again couldn’t finish because the food got so bland right after the first bite. No idea why the food was super unsatisfactory. Extremely shocked by the high reviews, but once again to each their own. Their pricing is definitely fair.
I have been to Señor Jalapeño multiple times now. Finally writing a review. I started coming because it has Halal meat but then invited my team from my office and they also loved it! 3 of them have some Mexican in their heritage. My regular “go-to” is the Birria tacos with cilantro, onions and cheese with a side of Mexican rice and beans. It is absolutely phenomenal! The meat is so juicy and tasty and the au jus that comes on the side just adds to that. I have also had the Chimichanga with steak. Took me 3 meals to finish. Highly highly recommend Señor Jalapeño!
I drive over an hour for these birria tacos. Best. Ever. Menu prices have gone up recently and they don’t split checks unfortunately but this place is a hidden gem and truly underrated. The burritos are massive! Their drinks are massive as well. Best part is that it’s zabiha halal so it caters to Muslims.
Great family run restaurant. We walked in right before they closed on a Friday night. It was a Google search that brought us there. All halal. Great portion size. Lots of families around. They do good mexican food. It's a bit redundant but their rice and beans are sooooo yummy. Will definitely go again and recommend.
It's a great place if you are halal seeker. I tried tacos of three kinds all of them were good.
The Birria tacos are straight absolutely delicious with tender meat, cilantro, cheese and onions paired with their broth gravy! Horchata is a little underwhelming but the service is great. You get Chips and home made salsa while you wait. Definitely try this Halal delicacy, game changerDine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
