Awesome place to eat or cocktail! Located inside the Florence Hotel building. The lobby is old school Art Deco-beautiful! The service was wonderful & the food same. We had a salad with apples, honey, nuts & the pork chop. I am not a big fan of pork chops but this was the most delicious I’ve ever eaten! The paintings & decor are very cool. Go! You’ll like it!
Spectacular food is served by amazingly friendly staff. The atmosphere is sophisticated and elegant yet comfortable and casual. The art on the walls is just as amazing as the food! The Crab Fettuccine is absolutely extraordinarily delicious! The Second Set Bistro is a fantastic place for dinner by yourself or with your family and friends!
Our dinner was epic! The Brussels Sprouts were delicious. Do not be put off by their being prepared with fish sauce. That seems to add depth of flavor. We ordered the crab and fettuccine and steak frittes main courses. Both were exceptional. If you love crab, look no further on the menu. The chef hit it out of the park. Seriously! The various components to this dish and layering of flavors took this meal to rare heights. My partner's steak was perfectly cooked and presented. I also want to praise the wait staff. We had excellent service, from the welcome as we entered the bistro to our reluctant departure. This restaurant is located in the gorgeous, beautifully restored Florence Hotel. Spend time in the hotel lobby just looking at the art deco architecture and amazing fireplace. We will be back!
I don't know where to start. How about with the Apple & Honeycomb salad! It was delicate yet full of flavor and ample for the first course. The wine selection was decent with a broad cross-section of wines which paired well with menu choices. For an Entree, we chose a halibut which was cooked in paper. It was tender and absolutely wonderful. It helps when the chef is an owner. The Main menu offered six delicious well rounded choices and many of the selections rotate on a daily basis. What a joy to sit down, make a choice, order a drink and get on with the evening. This was our first time experience here and with Jazz in the lobby every other Wednesday, we will be back. Sooner than later.
Good food, good service, musical instruments on the wall. Quite nice. With inflation still in place, I feel like you should get a little more food for the price.Food: 4/5
Came here right after opening and the service was wonderfully attentive we all know how new restaurants can be.... It was a nice feature that one of the owners came around to every table several times during our meal, but felt weird that he never stopped or spoke to my husband and me. We got the special squash salad that was excellent, and shared 3 shareable plates plus dessert. Mexican, Italian, French, it’s a little eclectic but each dish was done well. The wine selection was much smaller than the previous tenant’s list, but I enjoyed both wines I tried.
Truly delicious food! Expertly seasoned, fresh, inventive, and great menu. Don't miss the street corn or whipped lardo potatoes. Summer succotash was terrific! Not a single mediocre bite!
The food was great. The atmosphere was really nice. I know you have live music from time to time and it would be great to have it more often. The service was awesome!
I love this atmosphere. The darker room gives off romantic and cozy vibes. You almost forget where you are when inside because the setting feels very private. The portions are huge, the wine selection is great, the servers are friendly and the food is prepared with great care. If you have leftovers most heat up really nicely and you get to relive your dinner all over again. I love the chill vibe and want to eat here every night.
All I can say is you are missing out! This place is hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to and I'm a traveling foodie. The ribeye was the best steak I've had hands down and that says a lot. The owner Josh offers exceptional hospitality, fantastic food and a great wine selection. I felt at home. I live 3 hours away but will be coming back just for this place.
