It was a great spot for Happy Hour. We had a lot of half priced appetizers and drinks. The coffee martini was awesome. So was the lemon drop and there was one that had a wedge of watermelon and mint leaves but I forgot the name, sorry. The atmosphere is a little above casual but it still managed to not feel stuffy and pretentious. It was cozy but modern decor. I think we all liked it a lot.
Very good. They serve bison prime rib which is delicious. But. They tend to think rare = Med rare and med rare = med. Be clear on your expectations. Staff is wonderful. Atmosphere great. Reconstructed key lime pie is worth the trip alone.
THEY SERVE BRUNCH! And, it’s great! They also have a full coffee bar and a full bar so I can get my fancy coffee and don’t have to suffer through weak drip coffee. I always see a line outside of Catalyst, and although I like Catalyst, I’m not sure why people don’t just walk another block to a great restaurant with plenty of seating and fantastic food instead of waiting in the cold for a table. You can actually hold a conversation inside Pangea gah, I sound old!, you aren’t bumping into other tables, the menu is always fresh, it’s a nice atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and good at their job. This is truly an “undiscovered” great place for weekend breakfast.
Overly pretentious decor with food that is attempting to be fine dining. Mushroom flatbread had less than an ounce of mushrooms. Margarita flatbread tasted so sweet it was hard to taste anything else. Italian beef sandwich was like an Arbys sandwich this is not an Italian beef. The chicken skewers were good but the pickles that came with were utterly disgusting. The Calamari were like rubber & the aioli tasted like store bought mayo. The clam chowder tasted like fish & flour. The decor is confusing. It's like 7 people had ideas & the used them all. Not a fan. I'm giving 2 stars to be generous. I know fine dining, I know good food. This is neither. Additionally our waiter seemed like he had no desire to be there.
Pangea Bar & Restaurant, located in downtown Missoula Montana is easily one of Missoulas best restaurants. It isn’t a vegan restaurant but it has a good amount of vegan options. I had ice tea and their vegan curry rice bowl.
Had a wonderful family dinner at Pangea. Great selection of wines that pair with every meal. Their Wild Game Bolognese was delicious and perfectly portioned. Definitely one to check out in Missoula!
Excellent friendly service with a heated covered patio. The food was incredible and the cocktails recommended were outstanding.
Order here all the time when I'm in town for work. The fried brussel sprouts are my jam and I get them every time. They are usually amazing with nice slices of parm. Whoever was cooking tonight was just checked out. Brussels were not crispy bc the container of emulsion spilt all inside, cheese together in big clumps, and very sparse. The margherita pizza didn't even have basil just some big old chunks of tomatoes. Fries were way too salty. Super disappointing.
We stopped in on our way back to our hotel. We were in town for a work trip. Curtis and his crew took care of us. Great selection of cocktails, beer and wine. We had a wonderful night cap with the great staff. Definitely don't pass Pangea up if you are looking for an after or before dinner drink. They also serve food but I didn't indulge in food. I will think about food on the next visit. We sat at the bar and there was three of us.
Nice atmosphere. Good cocktails. The food however was not good at all. I ordered a trout dish. The trout was not fresh and had an unpleasant fishy taste. There were 2 overcooked pieces stacked on each other. The colors of the trout and sides on my dish were brown, brown and brown. No other color of food or even garnish. Just tones of brown. This make a dish very unappealing. There was also too much raw garlic in the dish and the salad dressing. My son preferred a chicken dish. The chicken was over cooked and was covered with another unappealing brownish gravy. His dish had fresh green veggies at least. Lastly, for the food we received the prices were way too high. I have no problem paying ~ $30+ for an entree but I expect it to be delicious and well presented. It’s unfortunate because it looks like a fine dining restaurant, the servers were professional, but the food was a huge disappointment.
