I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of treatment I received at the hospital. There are many young doctors who know there stuff. They cared more about me than I was caring for myself as I wasn't taking my injury serious enough. Overall I felt super cared for. The wait time in Emergency was very reasonable as well.
Absolutely Disgraceful – This Place Should Be InvestigatednnThis is by far the worst hospital experience I have ever witnessed. The staff have no idea what they’re doing, and it’s terrifying to think people’s lives are in their hands. When rooms are empty, the nurses and staff stand around laughing and chatting like it’s a social club instead of a place where people are fighting for their health.nnThe waiting times are beyond ridiculous – hours and hours of being ignored with zero updates. On top of that, the nurses are shockingly rude and dismissive, treating patients like they’re a nuisance instead of human beings who need care.nnThe most horrifying part? My landlord came in with serious heart problems. They brushed him off and sent him home like nothing was wrong. Later, while traveling in Thailand, doctors rushed him into urgent heart surgery. If he had listened to this hospital, he could have died.nnAnd it’s not just him. I personally have been to this hospital multiple times with heart issues, with my heart rate dropping as low as 36bpm. Maybe that’s “normal” for a young person like myself, but it should at least be taken seriously and properly documented. I’ll now be traveling to Edmonton to get checked out because I don’t trust this hospital to do their job. If they find anything wrong with my heart, I will be suing — because this hospital should already have my records and should have acted long ago.nnThis place is not just incompetent – it’s dangerous. The fact that patients are being dismissed, disrespected, and misdiagnosed should be a massive red flag to anyone considering care here. Someone higher up needs to investigate this hospital immediately before more lives are put at risk.nnAvoid this place at all costs. Your health and safety depend on it.
Went to the ER last night, amazing costumer service and staff! They gave very thorough service. The clean facilities made the experience very comfortable. The only thing that didn't make it a 5 star experience is they did forget about me for a few hours... there was also a guy doing wheelies on a wheel chair in the narrow waiting room, almost running over my toes... but thats ok not their fault! : 10/10 would recommend.
I was at the hospital June 9 Around 11 PM and the triage nurse there with black short hair Was a complete Female dog. First off, she tried to accuse me of being on FaceTime and when I told her I wasn’t, I was just taking a video on Snapchat too explain to my friend what’s going on she got all passive aggressive about it and rolled her eyes. And then she tried to accuse me of burping???? when I was just clearing my throat because I was dehydrated, and then rolled her eyes again. I Just brush that off my shoulder until some old man came in and excruciating pain couldn’t stop shaking. She came out talk to them for a minute then went into the room left the door open so him and his wife followed and then she said Excuse me did I tell you guys to come in here? You need to go away and wait somewhere else. And then he was asking for water because he kept choking on his tongue from how dry it was, he couldn’t swallow And in the rudest tone she said you can’t have any water. I’m not giving you any. The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because the lady that took my blood work, helped me through my anxiety and the lady at the front desk was very nice. But I think the triage nurse should have a very stern talking to about how she treats clients, especially elder people.
Such a friendly and thoroughly professional team in the day surgery clinic at Sechelt Hospital. I’m a stranger to almost all of them but they treat people wonderfully through some straightforward procedures and challenging times. Kudos and much appreciation
