Sechelt Hospital

I have had the opportunity to witness the staff in the ER check in with with each and every person and they made sure their immediate needs are being met today.nThis new approach in health care is absolutely fantastic and received well by patients and their family’s. I have never seen a hospital be so inclusive and support diversity. Way to go Sechelt Hospital.

Waited almost 8hrs here for my 7mth old to see a doctor, she routinely was placed back of the list and surpassed by others. She had an allergic reaction to something and I had faith that this hospital would care for her like any other patients who seek this hospitals help. We found out at 830pm when the ER assistant came out they didn't even have her on the list still after waiting for 6 hrs to see a doctor. They failed my daughter severely. And even after realizing their mistake they still made us wait till well after 10pm we waited 8 hrs to find her some comfort or relief for her allergic reaction and she's 7 mths old. Do Not Take Your young Children Here, they don't care how young they are. They prioritize drug addicts over your children. We had nothing but great experiences here from the maternity ward when she was born and felt like they genuinely cared but in a follow-up they severely failed my young child. After finding out at 845pm when they did a roll call and hearing her name wasn't on the list anymore I waited until 10pm and we left to catch the bus as I knew they had zero plans to see her at all. This hospital is disgusting how they treat the most vunerable. Take the ferry and go visit a real hospital.

Arrived for a family getaway and immediately had to check into ER with extreme pain. Doctor, nurses, even admin were awesome. Thank you all, for reference my visit began shortly after midnight on Jan 13th. Doctor especially was very patient and informative providing me with the range of options available and detailed knowledge of my condition I didn't know. Might have been Dr. Bauer? Regardless thank you to the staff who helped me that night, and the following night as well..nnI'm a bit surprised seeing the range of reviews, but understand given then range of staff, and different dynamics of triage viewed through the lens of pain/illness. Am happy to be able to add to the satisfied pile of experiences..

I arrived in the middle of the night with excruciating back pain. Turns out I had a kidney stonennThe entire experience was amazing. Every nurse and doctor was extremely accommodating and caring. It felt very organic and human and I am very happy with the care I received. It turned something very scary into something where I felt like I just needed to get through it and I was in good hands.nnIn the time I spent there. Things got a bit busy but as things got busier their level of care and compassion didnt waiver.nnI cant say enough good things! Thank you to all the staff over there. Its comforting to know that such good care exists on the coast!

Arrived in extreme pain. Triage was efficient, numerous tests completed quickly and efficiently. Diagnosis and care initiated immediately. Throughout the whole episode, all staff were caring, transparent and informative. Thank you for taking care of me in my time of need.
