This is why I NEVER buy my contacts online: very sore eye last 24 hrs, got an emergency appt with Dr. Wood at FYI in Wilson Creek, who then got me in immediately with specialist Dr. Nelson. Serious corneal infection - those of us who wear contacts are at risk of getting them, even with one-wear dailies, and more so for diabetics - drops every half hour for a day or so. This is the second time in 7 years an infection has occurred and we caught it very early this time... because Dr. Wood knows my eyes and what to do right from the beginning. No amount of $$ savings on mail order contacts could convince me to go without Dr. Wood and FYI on my health care team.
