GET THE HOUSE FLAVOR!! Out of all places that offer seafood boils in the Montreal and Ontario region this one is definitely top. We ordered the 1lb snow crab, amazing!! And the 1lb mussels also incredible. What was honestly the most amazing dish we ordered was their fried shrimp. Oh my god, so good. Definitely need to try this place!! The atmosphere is not like a regular restaurant it definitely feels more like a take-out place but nonetheless the people working there are working very hard.
We really enjoyed the food there. A lot of garlic in the sauce, the seafood is not over cooked and the cabbage in the dynamite shrimps was a nice addition. The fried calamaris and shrimps are delicious the french fries too. We really liked that the boil was served on a platter, not on the table. The staff is nice and easy parking. Only thing is that we asked for spicy and it was barely spicy. It would also be nice to have some lemon and parsley with the food. Great value for what you get.
Food was great! We ordered the seafood bucket Cajun sauce with 1/2 pound of shrimps along with Cajun fries. It was delicious. The bucket comes with 2 side dishes to choose from rice, steamed potatoes, or corn. This is a sit-down restaurant but feels more like a pick-up/delivery place, which I'm fine with. Just set your expectations to have great food and you'll be just fine! The people serving us were helpful in explaining the different options. I'd go back again!
I ordered the mix seafood, the seafood is very tasty. It is like the French version of captian boil but less salty. For me $100 tip tax includes is reasonable since the combo includes lobster tail. The staffs are friendly, The only thing I think they can improve is the light inside the restaurant, It is very dark inside.
The food is amazing. I would recommand to try the original sauce, it's really buttery. I have nothing to say about the taste, just dig in. BUT it was too expensive for what we had. We took the mix seafood my husband and I, it cost 100$ and I was still hungry after the meal.. The ambiance wasn't nice, we barely had service. There were only a few tables, it's more like a pick up restaurant than dine-in. I was thinking to do birthday party there but I don't think it's gonna happen anymore.
Came across this place on social media and wanted to give it a shot. Walking in, you'd think you're in the Maritimes. The decor isn't cringe or tryhard but just marine enough to forget you're in Quebec. Food is pretty good. For the price of the $80 plate, I was expecting a little more flavour. Unfortunately the lobster was quite bland and the calamari was chewy. However, the calamari's seasoning was excellent and the sauce was top notch, as well. The shrimp was delicious. Despite them messing up our order potatoes instead of corn we'll still be back to try the fried plates!
Food is great, prices are decent but the waiting time, the crowd and the organization is a mess... we waited 35 minutes for our food takeout ...there are few tables to sit down and eat but it's too busy around... with the takeouts, phone orders, Uber eat its a madhouse... still, food is worth the wait and will definitely go back
I was in Montreal visiting for 3 days and ate at the place twice. Loved the food. The sauce they use In their buckets is super tasty and flavorful. Also, their dynamite shrimp Is delicious, highly recommended. Staff was funny and easy going.
food is OK but: they forgot the sauce, they didn't put fries in the calamari plate. don't like to put 3 stars but there's room to improve. service was lost for pick up.. after visiting to eat in the restaurant, tried the seau de crabe 2 lb, liked the spices and sauce. definitely recommend to eat there instead of pickup. lots of people come so food is fresh and delicious. even tried the mixed fried Calamari and shrimps also was good.
July 2021 take out. Food is pretty decent and staff was friendly. This isn't quite authentic southern Cajun but rather a different version based on a buttery seasoning. Authentic southern Cajun seasoning/sauce is heavier and thicker, more like a paste whereas this was more watery. Different style of cooking. Flavors were still good, though still could be spicier. The corn and the shrimp certainly took up the flavors.
