A great Asian market that specializes in the Filipino culture. Located in the heart of Heartland Mississauga, this huge store sits in a large parking lot with many designers clothing stores. There are small mini restaurants within Seafood City. There's a ton of food and selections that are unique to the Philippines. There's rows and isles of so many different products. In one isle, it was piled high and wide of crackers. Staff is friendly and polite. Stay safe out there friends and please, be kind to one another!
*Grocery- well stocked shelves, clean. Cashier staff are friendly and helpful. *Food court- good selection of cooked food. Delicious and fresh. Staff are friendly. Clean dining area.
I am obsessed with Seafood City because of their amazing Filipino style BBQ! I will always make a visit to pick up their pork and chicken BBQ skewers. They're freshly grilled and just delicious. Besides that, although I do love their selection of Filipino and other asian snacks- the same products are more expensive at Seafood City compared to Oceans and T&T Supermarket.
The only place I needed to be when I need to get asian stuff and Filipino food. The place is clean and organized, well ventilated. The staffs are nice and helpful too.
The best place for food to dine in or to go especially when your craving Filipino food & don't want to cook i.e Grilled food and desserts more Filipino products selections compared to any other Asian stores.. Jollibee is inside the store too!
Best place to go for Filipino food! Plus Jollibee's there
I was there yesterday with my hubby. We drove for 1 hour and 35 minutes. We are from Buffalo. I asked the janitor if I could use the cart and he was hesitant, asked me what I will buy. Is it proper for him to ask a customer what he or she will buy? Seriously I do not know what I will buy, I just need to buy because I was already there. Then I saw him waiting at the cashier, and sarcastically smiling like bullying, telling me "she's laughing" referring to the cashier. First of all I am a nurse practitioner in the United States, he might think I'm one of his kind. I respect people from the lower class as long as they deserve it. The cashier at the Grill city was not friendly at all, feeling so entitled. One employee at the crispy area needs more training. It's busy I know but just work smoothly and act with finesse. It may be normal to your tribe to be "palengkera" but it's rude. Be friendly to your customers. That was my first and last time to visit your place. That experience was not worth my time!
I thought nothing of it when I went to this location for the first time last week since I always have a great experience at the Scarborough location. Unfortunately had the opposite experience here. After dining at Crispy Town in comparison to the Scarborough location it just was not the same. It was not fresh and far from crispy. We then started our grocery shopping and usually pick up some deserts. My boyfriend had grabbed a small container of the variety pack Biko, cunchinta etc. and placed it in the cart. Luckily I had picked it up and was surprised to see there was mold that had fur growing all over it. He told the person working at the kiosk near the desert and he just took it and placed it behind the counter not checking to see the rest on the floor. I also had my parents with me and did not see they had placed a ube Biko in their cart and by the time we got home to unpack the groceries sure enough there was also mold all over that we had to discard of it right away. This doesn’t sit well as I’m sure there were so many more that had mold on it which is a huge health concern. Also during our shopping my baby needed to be changed and both the men’s, women’s and handicapped bathrooms did not have a change table which was a huge inconvenience as we now had to go to the car and change the baby and come back to finish the rest of our shopping. Overall it was not worth the trip or money. Not sure if this is the same owner as the Scarborough location, but we were quite disappointed.
Prices are steep at this store but there is a fresh bakery and pastry shop separated in it. I would give it a 4 if the prices were lower. The store is nice inside with fresh produce and seafood. Jolly Bee restaurant is attached to the store with a separate entrance at the front which is a favourite.
Ya. I like this supermarket. Lots of filipino goods to purchase. Shelves are stocked. Rows are clean. I went in with an intention to buy 1 thing and left with 60bucks worth of stuff. Thats because i forced myself to not buy more. Of else i would have spent more money. Thats dangerous . Hot plate served here too. And next door is jollibee. Nuff said.
