This renovated 1800's bank building with a celebratory horse theme is one of Mackinac Island’s most popular watering holes. Fans rave about the deliciously fresh menu selections. Discover your new favorite cocktail, a mango infused Mimosa.

Story

This fabulous Mackinac Island eatery features an appropriate horse theme from the 1938 true life story of the famous horse, Seabiscuit. A great deal of care was taken to restore the original brick surfaces, hardwood floors and new furnishings have transformed the 1800’s bank building into a cozy comfortable restaurant. An excellent casual menu appropriately fits this charming place.

A fine wine selection is available along with a full bar so stop in for an afternoon cocktail or stay for the evening sipping your favorite martini.

Stopped in for a drink and sit down touring the island. This place is super yummy! We had appetizers and drinks. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture early. You can see that we thoroughly enjoyed the food. I would highly suggest! The grog was awesome too!
So glad Seabiscuit was open! So many places were closed on the island for the season yet Google, the sites and even the QR code from our inn said all those businesses were open. Had a delicious tomato bisque, drinks and even shared a sundae with my husband. Staff all wore masks, protected by plexiglass at the bar and were very kind.
Amazing! You have to try the pulled pork grilled cheese! To die for! Servers were super nice and the bartender our waiter was a super cool guy! Also food came out super fast!
Nice little place, food was great. We both had the fish and chips, and I would say compared to much of the island the prices are fair. No water view or outdoor seating, but all in all a great place for a quick bite.
The food here was SO GOOD! They cooked my steak perfectly! The drinks were so very good too! I had the sangria and it was delicious! They also decorated the whole place for halloween and it was so cute and spooky! We loved it here and will definitely come back on our next trip to Mackinac Island!
Sea Biscuit was good. I recommend going here for at least a bit of breakfast. Not a huge menu but there's enough for anyone. It does get crowded and Sea Biscuit is rather small so it's best to get there early. MAGA2020.
Visited on 10-13-2020. Service was a little slow but the food was really good. Prices were a little high, especially for the slow service.
