Delicious food and delicious drinks as well! The cocktail flight was AMAZING as was the beer. I had the pork tacos and my husband had a beer cheese and bacon burger all of which was very good. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed watching the view of the Main Street area. Service was very good and we really enjoyed the experience. I recommend checking them out! They also have a nice store where you can buy some beer to go in single can or I believe a 4 pack from what I can remember.
We stopped in here for lunch. We were there on a Thursday and it wasn't super busy, we were seated promptly. Our server was new, but did a good job and was attentive. I ordered the roasted beet chickpea burger and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. I was happy they had a vegetarian burger that wasn't your standard boring black bean burger. It was very delicious! I liked the pretzel bun. The Brussels were good also. My husband had the exorbitantly priced brewery fish and chips which was a whopping $38. It was a large portion and he said it was excellent, but seemed a bit pricey for lunch, maybe they should consider a smaller, less expensive lunch portion. I wish they had side options besides chips, fries or raw veggies. Like a veggie medley or broccoli. I like the variety of options they have on the menu and they have a good sized dining room plus outdoor seating. I'd definitely go there again! Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options.
Great Turtle Brewery and Distillery worked out for us for dinner. We were shunted to the deck because we had a service dog. The downside was another dog that was dog aggressive. The upside was not being in the quite noisy inside room. Interesting menu. Food delivered in lightning fast speed. The heaters on the deck helped keep us warm. However, people yelling at others on the street a bit distracting. Service attentive.
Fall brings annual trip to M.I. for a few days. We have visited many of the food establishments over the years and Great Turtle is new, so we visited tonight. Staff was friendly, hard surfaces in the room make noise, talking to our table of 6 nearly impossible. One large group left and made it a little easier. Order the tacos and ask for a variety of brisket, chicken and pork. That was a form no. One of the attractive sides was home made chips. Ended up with brisket tacos. Brisket was okay, chips were definitely not homemade. Wouldn’t consider this an out of the park experience.
We have a house on the island and met friends here tonight for a night out. Everything is good so won't go wrong, but the new Painted Turtle drink sampler is amazing. Really appreciated Adreanna as our server. She was kind, courteous, personable and prompt.
We had dinner there on a Sunday night. Not crowded at all. I had half roasted chicken, and my partner had chicken wild rice soup and meat loaf as entree. My chicken was a bit dry. It came out about 15 minutes after we ordered, so I am sure it's precooked and heated up. I know restaurant cannot possibly roast a chicken from scratch for customers because it would take too long. Still, I had good & moist roasted chicken in other restaurants. Note to the owner: using Google Maps listed number to call got a recording saying that it's not in service. Google search and website also have invalid number. Could be frustrating to potential customers!
My wife and I ate here for dinner on Mackinac Island. It is expensive but the food was pretty good. They have a small menu, but a good variety. Their drinks are very small though. My wife and I ordered cocktails and they were in very small glasses. I ordered the tacos and my wife ordered a burger. Not too shabby.
Stopped in for lunch one day on the island. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is pretty good and the service is speedy fast. Definitely a good tourist restaurant if you're visiting the island - it's right on the main strip.
Absolutely amazing, quick seating, great service from our waiter forgot his name sadly but he recommended amazing dishes, he gave proper time when letting us decide food and needing space, getting the food was faster than some fast food restaurants lol! The flight of their cocktails were amazing and priced extremely well!
Great new place for us. It was packed during the final island weekend and Halloween fun, but they still managed the crowd well. We had the tacos and calamari app. Both tasty. Bartender was super nice. They had live entertainment in the afternoon. We will return next June!
