Stopped in for the bison chili. It was alright. A little soupy. But the kids liked the grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream cones. Very friendly and polite young people staffing the place. Cute little spot that takes you back in time. We will be back when the weather warms up so we can sit outside.
This a great place to grab lunch. The jalapeno burger is fantastic. The watermelon slushie is sweet and tasty. They also have a kid menu as well. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. The bathrooms are out back. They also have a breakfast sandwich available weekdays only. They accept cash and care here. The food was super, and we will be back. Parking: parking is available along the street and in the parking lot on the right side of the building
Fun stop on my way out of town. The food was made quickly and turned out great. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The "Avalanche" ice cream was very similar to a DQ blizzard. Perfect treat for an average overcast day in Seattle.Food: 5/5
After a great day in the sun at Snoqualmie Pass, there is one thing on everyone's mind... food! I am so glad we stopped by to check this place out on the way home. I knew Scott's was a North Bend staple, so I was excited to try, and did not disappoint! I got the butterfinger avalanche as the mushroom swiss burger. The burger was good, but avalanche was the star of the show. Ice cream always steals the spotlight in my mind... It was the warmest day of the year so far, so the outdoor patio was just perfect! I am definitely stopping by again to try a shake next time I'm in the area!
Probably my now favorite burger and shake stop. Tons of options for food and their ice cream menu must be explored. Their seasonal pumpkin pie shakes made my day. I'm excited to try their fruit shake options. Overall the food was top quality for that drive-in burger joint feeling. Will frequent often and bring friends/family. I enjoyed the street-side seating as there was plenty room for multiple families. Parking on the side of the building was pretty standard with ample room for ~10 cars at a time.
Food is delightfully greasy. I'm usually a waffle fry enthusiast, but I actually preferred the regular fries to the waffle fries. The major draw here is the soft serve though. Great shakes, floats and blizzard/flurry treats. Items are reasonably priced.Food: 4/5
Probably my favorite burger joint on the West side in North Bend Washington. We've been stopping by here for 25 years and never had a bad meal. Always delicious and their deep fried mushrooms are amazing. Remember to order a chocolate shake too ... its amazing Parking: In and off Interstate 90 easily
It's been years but I remember big awesome chairs outside. Good views. And they had actual taco salads. They can be a little slow though. Odd since I've never seen them hiring. Not as good as burger master but the chairs and views make up for it.
It should be noted that this review has been a long-time coming. Writing about an establishment so endearing, so well-loved, and so appreciated as Scotts Dairy Freeze sometimes affectionately referred to Scott's Dairy Slaps, no explanation needed, is not an easy task. There is simply no way to be a fair judge of a place that simply has it all: small town charm Dale Cooper missed this one, color-coordinated outdoor seating, and actual functioning milkshake machines. This is a five star establishment, food and all. You could stop reading right here. But I'll keep going because why not, I'm putting off some incredibly important things right now. A long time ago, I failed to procure a summer internship while all my other friends had multiple offers and most things worked out in the end, so never mind the rat race so I ended up working for a nearby city cutting trees. They call it street maintenance but its really gardening on a city wide scale and that is no slight. I didn't learn too much save for the wise words of one coworker who noted that, in terms of quantifying what exactly makes a great burger Greg, "the bun makes the burger." And GD was he right, for here at Scott's, they've got quite literally the best burger in Washington and yes I have been to Red Mill. I've put my money where my mouth is too many times here to be wrong about that. The bun is literally toasted on both sides, and benefits not only from a healthy smattering of mayo and relish, but also from the presumably lightly-cleaned, decades old griddle. It's not bursting with veggies, but also not too "heavy." It's just right. They don't mess around here, and they better not change the recipe because I still can't recreate it will pay for the recipe, Scott. Sure, you've got to wait for this burger, but it's probably a well timed business tactic to make everything taste that much better via passage of time. Or they're just relaxed teenage workers. Why not both? So while the burgers are best-in-state maybe country, IDK, nobody has enough time to test a statement like that, you would also do well to order a side of mushrooms and ranch, as well as a local-favorite glacier. Or a banana shake, and some Scott's Tots. Maybe all at once too; I've seen bigger orders and you better believe being on the wrong side of that order can increase your wait time by exponents. But nobody cares. You can just mill around the town. Go visit Twede's; go pick some blueberries down the road. They put them in their blueberry shakes, whole, and undisturbed not verified. I love this place so much I waded through Google's maddeningly archaic search function to find every photo I have of this place just to show you how wonderful it really is. If this place ever closes, it will be a black day in history. Also pictured is my friend, Schroeder, who talks so much.
awesome place to eat. shakes are real fresh. burgers are fresh and delicious. should've ordered another. probably best burger joint in town. just passing through so im not sure.Food: 4/5
