Scotiabank

This is the bank I have been dealing with for over 20 years. I know everyone there and they are all very nice caring people. Many times they have helped me with financial matters always giving me great advise. I have accounts with other banks but this is my bank. This is the bank I prefer to deal with out of all the banks in Toronto because the staff genuinely cares about their clientele. It is a small personable branch. Get to know the staff they are all very nice friendly knowledgeable people there to help you.

They have been more than incompetent tring to secure a mortgage rate for me. I went within the given period to sign a guaranteed rate, they hadn't added my line of credit to the mortgage as clearly requested, so the total amount was wrong.They sent me home and told me everything was going to be fine and they had to resubmit the paperwork would call me to go back to resign. The week after they called me with a .27 higher rate and said that was all they could do! They claimed it was MY FAULT to not have signed the week before! Please be careful dealing with that branch!

Don't ever deal with these people they don't know what they are doing. They have messed up everything they touched for me. They say they are going to do something and they don't. Things that went wrong: Closing accounts Paying bills Transferring TFSA Charging fees when not applied Withdraw RESP - they didn't know how Losing transfer notices We correcte our address and still not getting mail I can keep going...
