The teller I dealt with was extremely confused. She kept telling me I needed an additional number other than the bank details on the bottom of a voided cheque, then I was told I needed a swift number to deposit into an account (I had a void cheque showing all banking information). A swift number is used for a wire, even I know that. If I was wiring I would have gone to my bank to complete. After along period of time and quite a bit of confusion, and someone coming from the back, they managed to do the deposit. With no additional numbers provided than what I came in with on the voided cheque. Then when I asked about opening an account personally, she told me its best to do online or I could go to the other Scotia Bank in Airdrie. Horrible customer service and lack of knowledge.

Staff needs to know that a bank draft is not like cash and a hold will be put on an amount for 5 days. Manager should be a little more prompt in calling customers back. Why on earth can you not call the bank telephone number and get an actual human at the actual bank.

Great and friendly staff at this branch; always. Quick and efficient service. Must be the best bank in Airdrie.
